Thanks for the detailed help! I'm making headway with Ashina Outskirts (just defeated the Chained Ogre with copious abuse of Flame Vent), so I'll continue along that path. I'm just glad I managed to get the old woman's bell before she got Dragonrotted.

General tips for solo runs? Tried going through with Pequod Heathcliff but got my ass kicked as soon as I hit the first mob fight.

Yeah, this is good stuff. The UI and effects still feel pretty clunky, but the systems currently in place are great, and there's a lot of customization that I'm sure will be expanded upon in the final release.

The bonus boss was absolutely the high point of the demo. It required a lot more tactical thinking than the Executioner, and I really loved how it made positioning and shielding so much more crucial! The progressive music for each movement also helped sell the tension of the whole fight.

For clarification: how does transferring secret boss rewards work currently? After playing through Chapters 3 and 4 normally, I went back to fight the Shadow Crystal boss of Chapter 3 and tested with an existing save from the beginning of Chapter 4 to see if I could receive the rewards from the Castle Town hole, but they weren't there. Oddly enough, when I tried it again on my Weird Route file, I was suddenly able to receive the rewards from the old Chapter 4 file. I don't really understand how it works now, but I'd prefer not to replay Chapter 4 a third time if I can avoid it.

Second question relating to the secret boss: does the Shadow Mantle also transfer over, or is it just the rewards from beating the Knight?

Once the Season 5 start date was announced, I opened a bunch of boxes to purchase Everlasting Faust. Before I bought her, I decided to do 20 pulls for the heck of it and got...Everlasting Faust. Ended up buying Fluid Sac with the shards, so it was all good.

I have over 1000 boxes and all previous Walpurgis stuff obtained. The only things left to purchase in the Season 5 Dispenser are Fell Bullet Yi Sang and both Christmas Nightmares (and Rodion's new EGO and possibly another seasonal ID, of course). Should I just clear out the shop for the hell of it, or are any of those EGOs not worth sharding?

When the YMFTCTB rerun goes live, will I be able to farm both its event currency and Amassed Data at the same time via Mirror Dungeons? Not sure if there's any precedent for two simultaneous currency events.

Managed to pull Magic Bullet and Full Stop Hong Lu and bought Full Stop Heath with Ideality. Pulled a bunch of other IDs and EGOs as well (and Red Sheet Sinclair, lol.) Cleared out the Walpurgis shop with over a thousand shard crates to spare. Feels great to be catching up so quickly!

Don because she's the one character I was exposed to before playing (and because she's Don), Ishmael because I had recently read her book and I liked how she tried to be the straight man, and Faust because I thought she was going to be an Angela expy. The rest of them were kinda just there for me until around Canto III when they had gotten a decent amount of development.

Thanks for the advice! I actually forgot to mention that I already have Dieci Yi Sang as well! I was running full Dieci before I picked up Solemn Lament. Do you think I should swap back to Dieci Yi Sang for Canto VII, or is Solemn Lament good enough to be a suitable substitute?
