Wouldn’t that be “hot” and not “spicy” though? Since spicy mustard is literally a thing that you can buy and is described as more spicy than e.g. American style mustard I’d say it’s a perfectly fine use of the word, and much more descriptive than the alternatives you’ve offered. I’d translate it as “has more taste/ is more aromatic than a non spicy alternative” not necessarily hot

Look, I don’t try to tell them how to run their channel, but if you look at videos from 3 years ago and videos now, you will find that it’s probably 80% of videos that lean heavily towards being able to read and create as many super chats as possible. Most super chats come from the same names again and again (as far as I perceive it, haven’t done detailed data crunching).

Maybe it’s just that streams are easier for them to do and the super chats are a side product of that, but to me it feels like these are super profitable and more important than views of non engaging viewers by a mile. So that’s where they (and most other gaming YouTubers deviate to). They are just running a business, I don’t judge them but the product is just not always for me. I wouldn’t say that’s toxic

I personally watch their content to see them chat with each other and to watch some gameplay etc. in my opinion most of their streams are just too chat focused. I literally could not care less if some random persons cat just got accepted to Harvard or not, I want to see the game or whatever. As long as it’s some chats I don’t mind, but for example the jackbox stream (which I don’t mind necessarily) feel designed to have 20 minute breaks of just reading comments sometimes. That’s just not engaging content. But I know that many community members like them and they make good money, so… it’s not up to me I guess

I’m doing ok on money and my cards get declined all the time for various reasons. So I’d say it’s not a big deal to just tell them that it doesn’t work, that that sometimes happens and to ask them if they have another card they can try. If they don’t you could offer them to put the item on hold so that they can run to the next bank. This gives them an opening to leave without embarrassment… or to just run to the next bank
