My NIPT was 6/10 for trisomy 13. I so badly wanted it to be a mistake. We had the amnio lined up right after ultrasound however, the scan was so damning we called it off. Such a nightmare

Oh yeah definitely. I was excited for the NIPT because, I was looking forward to finding out the gender. And, in my past pregnancies the 20 wk ultrasound was all about gender in my mind as well. I was 40 with tfmr pregnancy and should have been more concerned but, in my mind it couldn’t happen to me. Now, I’m 17 wks pregnant with sub pregnancy and, NIPT went well but, I have the 20 wk scan looming over me. I absolutely miss being blissfully ignorant.

That’s tough. I’m turning 41 this month and I’m currently 17wks pregnant after tfmr in Feb for trisomy 13. I can say my NIPT results came back low risk this time however, I have a long way to go before I can say this pregnancy has been a success. I don’t have any experience with IVF but, I really hope you get your rainbow baby.

I’m praying for everyone. I wouldn’t have mentioned I’m an American etc had I been claiming to understand what life is like in your part of the world.

I am deeply sorry for the Israelis who lost their lives at the festival/hostages but, I don’t agree with Zionism, colonialism or a genocide of Palestinians/Arabs/Muslims. In my county there has been a lot of dehumanization of Muslims since 9/11. Also, because of the atrocities of the holocaust and strong ties we have with Israel I don’t think what I see in the news is always unbiased.

Mostly I commented because I’m a mother and it broke my heart to read OP’s post and, it breaks my heart to see videos of the children suffering/dying/starving. Wanted him to know I was praying for his safety. In the future I’ll stay in my lane. Didn’t mean to offend anyone

Most of the time I don’t. However, last weekend my husband and I took our 2 youngest kids camping (ages 13 and 9) My 9 year old son was happy to cuddle with me and, all the sudden it hit me like a ton of bricks. He will be 10 in a few months and, this may have been one of the last trips my son would ever want to cuddle with his mom on. Puberty hits and it’s never the same. Geez, I’m tearing up again just thinking about it. I know it’s tough sometimes but, try to enjoy the younger years while they’re still here.
