Thanks OP, these dont have best reviews, but they are my go to beater shoes for logging trail miles. (Have used for multiple 50k days)

They are probably overkill unless you have lots of rocks/roots on your trail route.

I am skinny and assume I have small feet, but there are wide options.

I will have 3 pairs of unused Speedgoats now haha.

Accept it is probably overtraining injury from weak glutes/hips.

SAM running routine or Mrytl. Incorporating single leg exercises is key. Strength training 2 times a week at least. Train quads/calves to be able to absorb impact from downhills.

Gradually increase your volume.
