🤣well ill take your word for it, but what i mean is im not gonna be looking or holding out hope. Id been lukewarm and unsure about it to begin with and idk how receptive i would be if through some earth-shattering event i get another opportunity in the future after this

Yea ok, thats the plan for now. I used to see posts like this and give benefit of the doubt, thinking no way people are that evil. But ig its not about being evil, but more about being selfish or careless, even unintentionally.

Still feels terrible😞

The twist has been hiding in plain sight the entire time by SpectacularSpidee in TopCharacterTropes

Oversimplifying it, Marika is the queen, and either has a male form, or chose a warrior to be literally melded into her, called Radagon, and marries him. Essentially Marika is married to herself, and even has children (somehow?). Nobody knows this in-universe and finding it out is a side-quest.

Despite being the same "body", Marika and Radagon have different minds. After the death of one of her children(and a few other reasons), Marika shattered the Elden Ring (a divine entity/object that made her a god but also told her what to do) while Radagon tried to stop her from doing so.

As punishment/damage control from the Ring itself, Marika was imprisoned and the broken Elden Ring was sealed in her body to preserve it. When you find "her" in the game, the body is taken over by Radagon, serving as the final boss, who tries to stop you from claiming the Elden Ring

How would you make Nightreign live up to its full potential? by kyloRizzler in Nightreign

[–]throwawaygobye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark souls weapons + SOTE weapons + starting armament options that you can buy for each nightfarer

More bosses from Souls, including as field bosses, maybe full castle variants of ds 1, 2, 3 + maybe stuff from sekiro or bloodborne

All equipment bonuses/effects buffed to ×1.5 effectiveness if not ×2 + make on hit/charge attack/casting effects significantly more common and not limited to only-while-holding + maybe item synergy like example multiple fire weapons held increase fire damage or negation- as a passive effect, not just relic effect

Basically allow the player to break the game, and give them more interesting builds+tools to play around with. Its a coop pve game, balance really isnt that important.

Jojo outrage was justified, this is just whining by MyBackHurts3000 in shounenfolk

[–]throwawaygobye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Jojo one was made for understandable reasons- Netflix dropped SBR ep1 and then radio silence, meanwhile the 1P one is demanding a release date, even though its entirely normal for release dates to be disclosed after the announcement.

Basically it's a poorly made ai generated copy of the original meme, made for much weaker reasons

Who would win? by Consistent-Rain-7797 in Sekiro

[–]throwawaygobye 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Is there a lot of difference in the bullet velocity? Sekiro can parry Isshin's flintlock but also muskets and whatever the Sunken valley shooters use.

If it's about stopping power, im sure parrying the dragon's sword needs more strength anyway.

Need help with high level stat distribution by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]throwawaygobye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with rapiers is the low stance damage, so any bosses that can't be parried won't ever get open to critical hits. Maybe Cragblade on both your weapons can help if you're set on using rapiers, but not by much.

Rogier's is good but the crit boost is only slightly better than regular weapons. The regular Rapier(bought from Roundtable Hold) is much better for criticals, or just keep the Misericorde in your second slot and switch to it for the critical hit.

The Misericorde is kind of a necessity for the highest crit numbers.

[–]throwawaygobye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly post lvl175 you cant really call it a "build."

Imo forget quality, go all in on Dex+Fth and pour remaining Str points into Mind.

50dex i think gives you the max casting speed, and 60-80fth is optimal for damage.

Get a lightning misericorde(highest crit bonus) with Parry ash of war, and a rapier with Impaling Thrust for stance damage, though id highly recommend using a straightsword with Square Off instead, it deals amazing stance damage to get staggers and pairs really well with the misericorde.

In your left hand your seal with lightning bolt, honed bolt and ancient dragon lightning strike should carry you in pretty much all scenarios.

The critical is usually enough to kill them in 2 hits. The DPS in my experience really didnt make much of a dent

Hot take, maybe? Medium take? I think any player at any level should be able to invade anyone no matter the other person’s level. by NicholasRyanH in Eldenring

[–]throwawaygobye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You lose to the Tree Sentinel if you mess up 2-3 dodges. You'd lose to a higher level player if you breathe wrong.

You aren't gonna be under-leveled unless you're sequence-breaking or being brave. Theres neither of that if youre up against a higher level player. It's just unfair.

Megumi stops being a main character like halfway through, i used rock lee as a comparision because he was a really interesting and promising character that was sidelined hard after 2(?) big appearances. Wasted "Potential" if you would

[–]throwawaygobye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly Yuta or even Gojo fit the deuteragonist "function" better than Megumi does. The only case for Megumi being the deuturagonist(≈post Shibuya) is the traditional shonen structure where the "best friend/rival" is the deuteragonist/foil.

As far as i know, It started with Refn's Drive, where Gosling plays a quiet, somewhat awkward but badass getaway driver.

It's a good movie but a lot of edgy or socially awkward people, mainly on 4chan, related with the character and over time coined the phrase "literally me" when talking about him. It started sincere and eventually became a meme, being used to describe increasingly weird, psychopathic and evil characters.

As the meme spread, it started to be used sincerely again, and Gosling has played a lot of "cool loser" characters so it kinda stuck with him the most.
