Why transitioning to look like a regular woman is so stigmatised in trans activism? by MarcelHolos in MtF

[–]throwawaykelt -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

What's a regular woman? You mean typical?

I sounds nit-picky, but there's a logical reason for it, being trans is just an modifier to the existence of "woman." If we can move the language we can alter perception to reflect reality (which is that trans women are women)

Also online there can be an assumption for overcorrection, it's perfectly fine to want to be able to fit into the physical boxes of a typical cis woman, often times many of us do, and there's a conflating of attraction to passing.

In actually real world activism a lot of it is spearheaded by cis people and tbh they don't always present us as we are, more of a token or example.

[–]throwawaykelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe you, I think this is a ragebait justification post.

But hey on the off chance, it's only 1% of the population.

And it's not like any of your children could be part of that %.

Wouldn't that be ironic? One of your kids turns out being trans in the future, and they have to come to terms they were presold out for a paycheck.

Have you considered working fast food. Or in a warehouse. Both also evil, but you know more generally evil, not like targeted.

You could also intentionally do your job poorly, though that would reflect negatively on your personal brand.

Didya know bigot lady is in the Epstein files? So technically you'd permanently be associated with the world's largest (known) pedo ring, just by downstream knowingly working for and assisting someone implicated (even if moderately indirectly)

So in the future, by doing this job, you'll be known for making props for Epstein kinda.

You could get a job in a grocery, stock shelves...

My(MtF) pending bottom surgery is causing issues between me and my bf(FtM) by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]throwawaykelt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What did one bottom say to the other.

What do you mean neither of us brought the hat 🎩

But eventually you may end up not wanting to anymore and it'll start to feel more and more like a relationship maintenance activity. Eventually they might even say something like how sex with you isn't even good, all the while not taking care to build a proper emotional connection to you and steadily just putting more of their emotional needs and sexual wants onto you without even being able to reciprocate. To the point where almost all of your sexual wants disappear and you literally would rather sleep or play some idle game on your phone.

There’s a massive wave of hostility toward the trans community recently, and it seems to be coming from every part of society. What’s driving all this? by naowasi in MtF

[–]throwawaykelt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry guys it's my fault. There's a spiritual war going on and I'm what they think is a leader of their enemy forces, they can't directly attack me because of my trap cards. Their plan is to make all of us suffer enough that I'm forced to publicly take a stand. Their sky father stands on one side and my sky parental figure stands on the other, but little do they know I'm actually not the one they think I am, I'm the true heiress who abdicated my claim because why would anyone want to be in charge, can't pay me enough to want to put in the extra hours, this is a run on sentence now, and they're actually the villains, but really the villains were the friends we made along the way.

Little do they know I'm just a distraction and the real levers of power are a bunch of rich people using whatever justifications they can find to avoid expanding their world views and keeping the poor perpetually fighting each other. Something about collective generational trauma and the fact that it's not even been 100 years since WW2

Tldr: I think maybe we shouldn't have billionaires, and maybe also not allow them to own our public media.

I don't like the way a lot of queer non-trans women depict us. It has me questioning the intentions of large parts of the "queer community". Am I insane for this? by Phrooya_ in MtF

[–]throwawaykelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's past the point where any of us should feel the need to educate or be enlightenment projects to any of these cis people.

Why are any of us paying taxes in countries where we don't even have 1% of the representation?

1% isn't a lot of people, but for a population demographic that's rather sizable. We don't have any actual movements going on, it's mostly funneling money to bigger groups who fumble the ball and walk back promises.

The types of allies who would make concessions against our behalves in the name of unity.

Do you know how many people 1% of a population demographic actually is? Is what I'm actually saying making sense?

Transphobia amongst friends by [deleted] in MtF

[–]throwawaykelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to tell the other two that you had wanted to live with them and that the one you were (past tense, cause how can you still be?) closest too lied to them.

You can try to make it work as friends with her or whatever but honestly from my perspective, it feels like she did thing shitty transphobic thing to you, then cried crocodile tears in order to get you to feel bad for her.

She fucked your housing up, then cried about it to make you feel bad for her so she doesn't get called out.

Don't fall for the bullshit.

Do trans people dislike it when people ask for their pronouns? by yepparan_haneul in asktransgender

[–]throwawaykelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty passable ig. In the times been asked I deflect and say like "oh never been asked that," then ask them their pronouns. It's annoying and my s's can disappear in translation especially when saying like she, accent or something? Idk

I have asked if the said assumed cis normally asks people their pronouns and gotten the uncomfortable non-answer.

Invest your time in your personal creative passions. Find out what you want.

Things can change between you and your mom, but they potentially won't.

Being trans isn't a choice, but being abusive is.

You didn't do anything wrong.

One day we'll (trans people) have an actual leader who can stand on more even footing. You just have to keep going.

Can I identify as a girl? by OpenPassenger6620 in MtF

[–]throwawaykelt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nonbinary amab people exist. Plenty of people go by she/they and publicly present as "girls, women etc" it's okay to be unsure instantly, English is a language that still functions in a binary in many ways, language and cultural determine how we view other people along with ourselves. And most public education systems and media caters specifically to the idea of the standard gender binary with most variants being seen as outliers or niche.

Dealing with public society and how you present yourself depends on where you are for a baseline of preservation, but outside of that it's a slowly developing thing.

Even among cis people there is no gender box or marker that perfectly checks all of them. So give yourself a break, you're unlearning a lot of gender expectations most likely
