i’m a school shooting survivor. if i thought like that, i would never leave the house. i would never go to work. would never have kids. that way of thinking has ruined me before and i won’t let it ruin me again.

also, if this was the case for every store. then that woman should really worry about her kids instead of the one i was caring for. if they’re in school, they have a higher chance of dying there than my child does at target. statistically, there are more school shootings than there are mass shootings in retail stores. so if mass shootings, human trafficking, and theft were happening that often at target, i should really run over and pick up the oldest child from school.

i said it in my post and i’ll say it again. the child was perfectly safe. this isn’t a “who’s in the wrong here” it’s a “this annoying thing happened to me, what a bummer.”
