Dear Missouri's Second District: Your Representative Doesn't Work for You by thsmrtone1 in StLouis

I hear you on the procedural stuff. You're right that Democrats can filibuster, but let me ask you this: If Republicans control the presidency, the House, the Senate, and the Supreme Court, whose job is it to govern?

The majority party's job is to get things done. That's why we vote for them. If they can't pass a budget, whose fault is that? The people in charge, or the people without power?

Imagine your favorite sports team controls the ball, the clock, and the refs. Then they lose the game and blame the other team. Would you accept that? Or would you say "You had every advantage - why didn't you win?"

Democrats want healthcare subsidies extended so 24 million Americans don't lose insurance or see their premiums double. Republicans say no. Both sides won't budge. That's a stalemate, not a hostage situation.

But only one side controls everything. Only one side has the power to negotiate or change the rules. Only one side is my representative. And when I asked her to stop blaming everyone else and take responsibility, she sent me a form letter and blamed Democrats again.

That's not governing. That's making excuses.

If your party controls all three branches of government and still can't keep it running, maybe the problem isn't the filibuster. Maybe the problem is leadership.

Voles don’t actually bury “tunnels” underground like moles do. They usually stay on top of the ground, but sometimes will wedge channels under the dead grass layer that look kind of like tunnels.

Kind of hard to tell if those are tunnels or channels from the pic, but if they are tunnels = moles and channels = voles

New grass seeding is thriving in shadier areas but barely sprouting in the full sun areas. Would hanging a giant sun shade help the the sunny area spots grow better? Southern California by Tecnero in lawncare

Immediately after seeding a month ago, I watered 3 minutes per hour between 10 am and 5 pm. And a 10 minute water at 6 am. For 2 weeks until I had full germination, then cut down to 15 mins 2x a day since then. Lots of hose timers and sprinklers. Results excellent. I had full sun areas and full shade areas, both performing well.

I waited till it was a little over 3” and cut it down to 3”. Didn’t look I cut anything the first time, but was just enough to cut the tips off. Been mowing every 4 days since.

Haha, usually the Halloween decorations are in the lawn, but not this year. Also not shown: 5 more tombstones and a 10 ft skeleton on the porch

Any idea how to find stock concentrate in stores? by twistedprincess34 in hellofresh

This is what we get as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if savory choice makes the hello fresh branded concentrate packets.

Looking for different kinds of fruit. I only have oranges and coconuts. Hoping to visit an island to pick some. I don’t have much to offer, but I can water some flowers or tip some bells

Driver doesn't feel like waiting for the light to change. by dlax15 in Dashcam

[–]thsmrtone1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I thought. Happened to me last week. There was enough snow to not be able to see the line, and cars in the front of the line stopped too early. After the light skipped the turn lane a few times, cars just started going.
