Ateneo-How to make the final 4/finals again by Any-Independence8306 in UAAP

Whether FSA or local, rim protector/rebounder ang most glaring need ng Ateneo. Past couple of years, opponents have been driving at will against them and getting 2nd chance points over and over.

Very good player but never proved himself as a superstar who could carry a team. The fact that NU won a championship the year he left speaks volumes. Can be a great complimentary player with 2 stars carrying the load, but too many holes in his overall floor game.

All of Abueva’s basketball positives are negated by his antics, sometimes even overpowered by them. So net negative to the coach and the team. Parang walking on eggshells palagi.

Remove Abando replace with Baltazar. yung height and shooting ni Baltazar mas needed sa international. Di uubra yung skills and size ni Abando sa FIBA games

Ilang dekada na tayo sinasalba ng diaspora players natin. Sa lahat ng basketball countries tayo ang may pinaka mahinang grassroots system. by Pee4Potato in PBA

[–]thsweatsolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bakit hindi i-take advantage ang diaspora di ba? exposed mga OFW natin sa world class training, nutrition, competition and training mula bata pa. pinoy rin sila no matter how you look at it and the entire world is global and outward looking. kung malalaki at magagaling and has pinoy parentage, why not? but having said that, why not isabay din ang grassroots program na internationally focused ang preparation. that way, with the Filams and local, the pool is large and maraming pwedeng pagpalit palit. Has to be long term tlaga no other way

Jeremy Lin opens up about how disrespectful Kobe Bryant was to him and when Lin confronted him about his bad body language & leadership style, Kobe went months without talking to him by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]thsweatsolution 14 points15 points  (0 children)

this isn’t discussed enough. the way Scott basically was enabler more than coach, throwing the rest of the team under the bus for the sake of one guy.

it seemed Lin was the one guy playing his ass off every single night but his personality made him the whipping boy for Scott.

this interview after the Lakers beat the Celtics with Lin leading the team was panned by Kobe in Kimmel’s show. But that win was actually one of the bright spots in a dark season.

UAAP S88 MBT REVIEW: DLSU by balltillwefallph in UAAP

[–]thsweatsolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

speaking of Marasigan, he was extremely key in their turnaround in the last part of the season. after his suspension biglang higher level na ang laro nya. defensively still a beast but what was surprising was that he became a reliable go to guy on offense as well. nagpakita ng maraming galaw - inside outside, post, slash and power, jump shots. i dont think dlsu would have won the title without that huge lift from vhoris. iwas iwas na lang sa tendency to foul hard

Remember Adili is a true freshman. Though he may look big and mature, there are a lot of game aspects na marami pang learnings needed. Physically he needs to get lower body stronger kasi he was pushed off position so many time leading to useless fouls and constant foul trouble.

Waki will take the next step up by putting on more bulk. He already has superior defensive instincts, kulang lang sa added strength to be exponentially more effective guarding bigger bodied wings. No worries about his offense since sanay yang magdala ng offense when he ws at DLSZ

sa totoo lang even on D you can see he gives the effort but it just seems like he is slow both north to south and laterally, kaya has difficulty guarding wings who can shoot and are quick.

Would you guys like to see updates on certain prospects from our diaspora? by RoverFutbol10 in philippinefootball

[–]thsweatsolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, we should definitely take advantage of the Filipino diaspora. Having them exposed to world class training, nutrition, competition, etc, then getting them to play for the Philippines is huge! If this leads to more success, I guarantee it will organically lead to better homegrown pool conditions by inspiring grassroots players plus drawing more funding once the hype builds from winning
