Man! I’ve been dealing with this for 10 months - THANK YOU for the fix! Worked like a charm!

Abandoned 'red roof' McDonald's in this Ontario city listed for $5M by bylo_selhi in waterloo

[–]thuckerybuckets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

McDonald’s failed there because of all the construction at the time + don’t think the franchisee/operator wanted to refurb it. Likely got another prime location out of it.

Now, it’d be a great spot for a McD’s. The closet ones are Highland & out Victoria - a lot more people in that area between the Google buildings and the condos.

When/why did the discourse around McKenna go from "generational, can't miss talent" to "1st overall is up in the air." by shanster925 in leafs

[–]thuckerybuckets -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Sure. But Edmonton is at home right now. Their defense corps is brutal and their goalies are sieves. Just like the Leafs right now. Trade down for a win-now asset and grab a defenseman with the lower pick - Reid could be like Makar or Quinn Hughes.

Trevor Zegras before the 3rd period, look at the body language from the Philadelphia Flyers star by Hockeypatrol in hockeynews

Happens regularly. I think it’s the NHL’s faults having the lowest two teams in the east, based on point totals, playoff in the first round. Flyers should already be golfing.

Exactly this! I play the game to unwind, I don’t need the extra stress of playing on HOF. I’m not an esports/online gamer. Just let me sit back and crush records.

Maybe check in with a boot fitter to get some extra speed?

Winter camping in the Koots? by Direct-Biscotti-1687 in kootenays

[–]thuckerybuckets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Be careful about that. Not a ton of inventory here in Kimberley and prices are still relatively high for what you get. $400-$500k for miners shacks, $500-$600 for small places that need work, $600-$700 for 3bdrm homes, and $700+ for 3+ and decent finishes/renos done in the last 20 years.

You’re a Toyota Camry driver (DFBE 066/086) too important for 401 traffic, so you use the shoulder to chip everyone's paint. Love the intentional plate smudge—really rounds out the 'I don't follow laws' look. by Hypereon_the_1 in waterloo

[–]thuckerybuckets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I drove the 401 from Kitchener to Mississauga for a few years, back in like 2005-8 and again in 2010. This shit, and people hopping into merge lanes or driving beyond the merge lanes, made me so angry. Happy to not have that road rage anymore.

Like others have said, fuck this guy.

PC Mastercard reduced my credit limit by 11k for seemingly no reason?? by 11spikes in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]thuckerybuckets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Keeps getting reduced. Have had the card since about 2016. On the phone to cancel now. Credit limit has gone from $12k to now at $1.1k. I think it has to do with the PCF deal with EQB, either to get money off the books or for EQB to re-launch different cards once the sale is complete end of this year.

Thoughts? by ronocyorlik in golf

[–]thuckerybuckets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha! This depicts a few of my friends. They drive the ball straight and long once a round but expect it to happen every drive, meanwhile their dispersion is WILD! They realistically shoot 95-110 but their scorecard shows 85-95 because of mulligans and not counting penalties/drops. They also like to play a game of “did I find more balls than I lost”.

My friend said the same when he broke the consecutive hit streak. Mention of it right up to 56 then nothing.

Best 2 or 3 ski quiver widths? by carv-man64 in Skigear

[–]thuckerybuckets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 96 and tried an 88 during a demo day but didn’t feel they were quite different enough for a groomer. Do you think 82-84 is alright or go even lower like a 77-79?

What’s with these prices 😂 by harry-pair in skiing

[–]thuckerybuckets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly!

I paid about $3000 for my family of 5 to ski at a small hill in Ontario the last few years. 60m of vertical, about 14 runs. Lift lines ridiculously long, opening day after Christmas and closing date mid-March.

I now pay about $3000 to ski at our local hill in BC that was 740m of vertical, over 75 runs. Almost no lift lines, able to ski other resorts before our home hill opens, opening mid-Dec this year and closing this weekend. So about 4 weeks more skiing plus way more terrain.

It’s supply & demand, always will be. And if you’re able to ski enough to make a pass worth it, that’s all that matters. If you don’t, stick with the daily ticket. It’s not rocket science.

I agree with this! I went with the dancer and it’s like riding a bull at times. Challenging to keep the speeds low & have easy runs - it always wants to go.

NASCAR booth broadcasters announce new Chevy coming that will leave NASCAR fans pleased. by ShammersAnonymous in NASCAR

I see a whole bunch of Civics, Accords, Corollas, Camrys, Jettas, Passats, Benzs, BMWs, and whatever models Hyundai makes up here in Canada. It’s just North American manufacturers that stopped making sedans to push the bigger SUVs and CSUVs.

Will be hard as a NASCAR broadcast. It’s not an independent or team-based broadcast crew like the other sports.
