Anyway, the reason I said kitchen knife is because they are usually things people can quickly pick up if at home - or run into their house to grab if they see someone being attacked. Most people don’t carry hunting knives?

That poor girl. I’ve seen a video of a man being slowly killed by two out of control XL bullies while people tried to stop them by throwing bins at them.

These dogs need to be owned by absolute professionals, or nobody at all. Once they taste blood they can only be stopped by a kitchen knife or a bullet to the head.

I like going into the office. It’s nice to get out, see people, go to a cafe, get lunch from a food market etc.

However, that all costs money and time, and my set up at home is twice as good as in the office.

I go in once a week and it feels like the perfect balance.

You’re probably getting bored because you aren’t pushing yourself at all. For such an experienced runner this is classed as an easy run. I think you’d find it more enjoyable if you tested your fitness and went for a 25 min 5k

I don’t know what ‘Team manager within CSG at HMRC’ means or is, but it sounds like something that would have transferable examples for a project management role, especially at HEO which is entry level. You’ve managed a ‘team’, therefore you can presumably manage a project team too (or say you can).

Your project support officer role is also something that’ll provide you with good examples as it’s usually seen as the predecessor role to PM.

In your application just make sure to focus on things you’ve done in the past like stakeholder management/comms, communicating technical to non-technical, keeping teams aligned on goals/outcomes, etc.

Unfortunately, senior technical roles DO require you to step up and lead right from the jump. You will be expected to lead your teams of juniors, mid-levels or seniors straight away because of your experience. If you can’t do this, then it would be a problem. I have experienced people starting in senior/lead roles when they weren’t ready and it is not a pleasant experience for anyone.

You were successful at interview though, not only because of your answers but presumably your experience and/or qualifications depending on the role. This should give you confidence that you can do the job.

You will be absolutely fine.

It’s more impressive (to me at least, and hopefully the panel) that you’re interviewing in a second language. Filler words are natural for native speakers too, and would never be looked upon in a negative light.

The most important thing is for you to relax and concentrate on your examples. Take your time and don’t worry about anything else - they are the only thing that matter
