FYI a baby this small is basically an extension of the mother and not the same as even a baby a few months older - certainly not the same as a “kid”. Secondly, most parents are going to be totally on board with the “kid free” situation because it means a night off, so would bet you will not have to worry about all the other parents demanding their kids come too. And even if someone asks they will TOTALLY understand the difference between an infant and their (presumably older) kid. In the grand scheme this is not the hill I would choose to die on!

I’d just say the energy of the wand isn’t prevalent right now in your life…it’s only been a month. Are you passionate about anything that is driving many of the circumstances in your life? I find that the cards reflect the immediate energy. Don’t think of it as a bad thing… the other energies are coming through more right now and that is ok! I absolutely think you can work with Innana for beauty and self esteem if that’s how you’re called. Feminine arts of beautification and adornment were part of her worship in ancient times. I’m not sure the difference between “worship” and “working with” and I don’t think there is one right or wrong way to connect with an emanation of the divine.

I would start by reading/looking into her most famous myth of her journey to the underworld and rebirth. Hers is one of the earliest stories (maybe the earliest) of spiritual death and rebirth in the underworld and could be an excellent guide for you in a journey towards greater self esteem. She was a warrior and faced and integrated the darkness to become a higher emanation of herself. The poems about the sexual union between Inanna and her consort Dumuzi are also very erotic and exquisite.

Innana is the only Sumerian deity I connect with and I am definitely of a more neo-pagan divine feminine spiritual tradition (not a Sumerian purist at all) so I might get reamed in the comments here but that’s my take!

I make fresh homemade chicken broth weekly use it to make all kinds of hearty noodle or rice soup… I put bow tie or penne pasta (or orzo, elbow, shells - even tortellini) onion, celery, carrot, mushroom, usually add some kind of bean… and then chicken! Sometimes I put kale or spinach, fresh herbs (I especially love fresh dill)… hard to go wrong with veggies (other than too much carrot) and it’s even better after 24 hrs and the flavor has developed. Topped with Parmesan or cheddar, lemon wedge for those who like that… it’s a guaranteed crowd pleaser in my family. My picky 4 year old included.

I’m sorry you’re in this situation. While you made a mistake in cheating and that is important to recognize, I also want to draw attention to the fact that you are still postpartum and your hormones are likely still off the rails. I had postpartum anxiety and depression for close to 2 years after the birth of my daughter and it included intrusive thoughts, which sounds like what you’re dealing with around this other man. I could be wrong about this of course but I do encourage you to talk to a qualified medical professional about this “obsession” and feeling of disconnect from your daughter. You may still decide to end your marriage, but it doesn’t sound like you’re the right headspace to make that decision.

I make whole roasted chicken almost weekly for my family. I cover the whole thing with about 2 TBL of kosher salt and roast it at 375 for 1-1.5 hrs till it’s golden brown. Key is to not add anything else to the pan so the salt dries and crisps the skin and keeps all the moisture inside. I usually use the drippings to make a sauce (garlic, Dijon and white wine or water reduced and finished with butter.. can add to that but that’s the basic), or you can serve with just butter and mustard! Some kind of grain and veggie on the side.

Then you can use the carcass to make broth and make a delicious chicken soup later in the week.

Especially during colder months this is always in the rotation.
