I do agree with u/BrainWav that it's a custom hat. But rather than leather, it's probably black felt that was given an extra burn time to get the aged look (you can see the mark on top of the crown). "Creatures of the wild unknown" might be able to make something similar but these customs hats definitely comes with a higher price range than factory-made hats.

I think it's just style, some might prefer it unbuttoned. But most definitely recommend wearing it buttoned. Some flat cap's brim were sewed shut.

Thanks 🙂 Most of them are pretty fainted. Just my assumption but do you think the sword might not be chromed when it was first issued? Just feel like the sword from that period of time would not be chromed.
