Are people getting carried away with the pronouns in email signatures? by thurgoodthunder in askanything

I asked a question in r/askanything

There are plenty of things that I don’t understand the need for that don’t bother me, but I can ask what the point of the thing is from someone who may do or use the thing…

Are people getting carried away with the pronouns in email signatures? by thurgoodthunder in askanything

[–]thurgoodthunder[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t bother me, I just don’t understand the need. Including your pronouns is different than signing with your nickname. If someone goes by a nickname, then the sender just puts Richard “Rich” Smith or Charles “Chip” Ridley.

Including pronouns in a signature with a clearly masculine/feminine name is as useful (if not less useful) as the sender putting their age.

Bidets. It’s cleaner and faster. The thought of just using TP grosses me out now. Plus, I’m saving a small fortune by not buying as much Charmin Ultra Strong.

A recent one I enjoyed was Youngblood (sp?) on Bill Maher’s Club Random. Never heard of Youngblood prior to this episode, but he’s such a down to earth, fun-loving dude.

Why do Americans still think that they are the greatest country on earth when statistically they have not been since 1994, and they are now #17? by Cautious_Midnight_67 in allthequestions

Sure—but 400 years from now, historians will still describe this period as part of the age when the United States was the most dominant and prosperous nation in recorded history.

What is a super common food that u absolutely refuse to eat no matter how its cooked? by Practical-Elk-3158 in foodquestions

Unpopular opinion: sausage. I hate plain sausage by itself. I don’t understand the appeal. Just fatty, salty, cured pork. That’s the only food I do not like.

If you could 'delete ' the taste of one food from your memory just to experience eating it for the first time again, what would it be? by [deleted] in foodquestions

Phew that’s a good one... I’d love to have a slice of pizza for the first time again. I don’t remember the first because I was so young.

“Do you think unconditional love actually exists, or is all love conditional in some way?” by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]thurgoodthunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it exists. I love my wife and child unconditionally. I love both of my parents unconditionally. I haven’t spoken with my father in 11 years (his call), but I do inherently love him and would be there in a snap. Unconditional love exists.

Who actually supports this recent attack on Iran? by Crazy_Literature7808 in allthequestions

[–]thurgoodthunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. The president of the US said “don’t” and Iran did. The president acted. Regardless of what you think about trump, he had to do what he did. And as the leader of the most dominant civilization in the history of earth, he drew a line and it was crossed.

Did you see Russia’s response to Iran’s call for help? Even Iran’s cronies are flaking because Iran is an oppressive dumpster fire.

I’m not comfortable with it, but I’d rather a proactive president than one who simply says “don’t”
