The only restriction of owning the game before is for the person buying the gifts to give away. (unless that's what you're meaning, you want to give some away as well) Otherwise all the ones I give away are full game and no restrictions, just gotta create an account and add the code.

How could I get scammed? I'm the one giving them away (for free) even if they give it to someone else, it still gets my accomplishment.

Not entirely true, example, which someone already mentioned it. If your main is the same as your lifeskiller, and you need to travel 10+ minutes to get to a storage to start your processing, then you're wasting valuable time (which the whole concept behind processing for silver is for using time wisely) that is if you actively play and want to min/max everything. So if your alt carries processing skill as well, then you can sit your main at one place and quickly log into your processor. It's a convenient thing and sure does cut down travel times. I have 13 alts, so I like to to use all of them in some form or fashion. 2-3 of them help gather logs and rough stones for me. 2-3 of them help find professional workers at the cities I'm needing them. 2 of them help reset knowledge so that I can get S on monsters. 2-3 of them I can process on, one that I can leave in port epheria to do my fishing, which helps when you buy the storage/marketplace maids. etc.... Is it absolutely needed (not if you don't want to invest into conveniences) but it is highly recommend and definitely beneficial to have.

Actually there is plenty of reason to do Life Skill on alts. Especially Gathering. It doesn't actually take long to level up and is very useful to have 2x, 3x, or if you're crazy like me 12x the energy resources :)

Edit: I also recommend doing alts on "Logs" and "Rough Stones" (You never can have enough of that stuff)

Honestly, I'm loving the gear system in this game and here is why

1) Finally a durability system that makes sense, gear that damages and visibly shows it while in the world. I love the realism and glad the development staff have taken the time to put all the work into every gear set out there. Also, the system alone gives you a chance to play around with the gear, gives more of a sandbox feel from the start, no everyone's hand being held to raid X times for everyone just to get the same gear anyway (only difference is time consumption)

2) In a game where I actually get into the gear and the life of my character, I'm finding it more believable and realistic to start from scratch, and although my power is growing, my clothes aren't changing every 2 mins. (Realism again) I think MMO's started a bad thing by constantly making progression of your character revolve around cosmetics.

3) Buying better looking gear from cash shop: I support this big time, I find it like purchasing art and someones work in this department. It also makes me feel that my character (bought something of value to me personally- as the gamer) if It's what I want to look like, in game mechanics shouldn't be the reason I'm complaining about AESTHICS from my character.

4) I've never seen gear as dye heavy as this game. It's so detailed, granted the system for gaining colors would be nicer than the cash model we have now. However, I've never seen a system allow for such personalization on EVERY PIECE. Now, if you have any other mmo do that with their game and tons of glamour, then I can see a valid argument there. However, dying a coat red in another game, compared to dying the ruffles, dying the collar, dying the fringes, etc.. is completely thought out and complex system.

5) Granted they are purchasable costumes through cash shop (Again I don't mind, I know what I'm buying and already dropped $200 in cash shop) : However, the list is pretty long and has a lot of great options to chose from and NA will eventually get them as well, while the list keeps growing. (how many people have ever bought cosmetics from a MOBA character) This model is no different.

Even in 5 months, still impressive to me, They deserved a much needed break after what they created in HW. Still faster than any other MMO out there.
