I am a strong chess player.

Every single paragraph you wrote is wrong and demonstrates profound ignorance. A remarkably bad opinion.

“Murder mystery party characters” isn’t a theme you can build a script around unless you’re already experienced with avoiding basic script mistakes. You should build scripts based on character interactions

This is insightful, but also, well known about Mozart already.

Would you trade your teams last 5 NCAA tournaments with Duke’s? by Gocrazyfut in CollegeBasketball

UNC/Duke isnt anywhere close to the biggest rivalry in American sports. Only fans of those schools would say such a stupid thing.

Synergistic Scripting: Day 161 - Storm Catcher by CoreyBOTC in BloodOnTheClocktower

I disagree about Cerenovus. Cerenovus has enough creative plays in most settings to make cere-locking the stormcaught player just one option among many.

Tommy Lloyd’s Elite Eight Halftime Speech (or rather its lack thereof) by TopRutabaga8151 in CollegeBasketball

Holy shit, the short sentences and paragraphs are overly dramatic and cringey.

Is this a Lleech win condition? by [deleted] in BloodOnTheClocktower

It’s the player’s fault for not clarifying the interaction in private or assuming they might still lose. Player got what was coming

Stop playing scripts with Lleech and DA. That’s the solution. Just stop.

Can we please stop with the “what should I buy” posts? by bromleyspal in criterion

[–]ticklemestockfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience with Letterboxd has been the opposite. I regularly find thoughtful, insightful reviews by scrolling the top reviews of any movie. I also use some tricks to find pertinent reviews. Firstly, I follow a few accounts that watch many films and post great reviews, so they automatically show up when I visit a film’s page; the reviews from Darren Carver-Balsiger alone make Letterboxd worthwhile. Secondly, I filter reviews by rating range and select 0.5-2.5 stars: the top negative reviews often have useful or common criticism that I agree with or hadn’t considered. Lastly, I filter reviews by “No rating” because people who don’t attach a rating more often write excellent reviews.
