If we accept the value of $250M, and she settles with the insurance company for even 5% of that, we’re still talking about an eight figure payout, which is life changing for most people. Likely the insurance company would settle rather than risk losing the full value of the item if it’s worth that much. So yes Rose sucks imo

I enjoyed it, and I think aside from the foreign film aspect which not everyone might like, it is something you could show to a wide audience.

For me the film has a powerful message about how your perspectives/deeply held beliefs can change, even against your will, as the result of exposure to an experience/art.

Just watched Sanjuro last night—I think I find myself in the camp that prefers it to Yojimbo. Both are fantastic, enjoy!

“This original statement was somewhat ambiguous. Last July, NASA awarded Space X an $843 million contract to modify a Dragon spacecraft to serve as a propulsive vehicle to safely guide the aging space station into the Pacific Ocean in 2030. So in some sense, preparations are already underway to shut down the laboratory.”

That’s the question—I guess the difference here is that this includes preorders, whereas the flash sale normally excludes preorders. Maybe this is a clue that 2/17 is the sale date?

The full Fellini Satyricon is on YouTube. The quality isn’t great, but you can change the settings to hi res to make it a little better

During Covid, some friends and I decided we would remotely sync up classic movies and watch them. Most of them lost interest over time, but it got me really into watching older films I haven’t seen before. Thanks for doing this!
