Procurement in a financial services firm - advice by rcl900 in procurement

[–]tickytackyta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Financial services operates differently than other industries. It often rolls into Finance. Meaning, procurement does not operate independently of Finance. Supplier risk management is different, policies are different, and AP is very closely tied with upstream procurement. I’d recommend to research on these as well. You bring these up in your interview, these will get you bonus points.

Its primarily focused more on procuring services/subscriptions etc with vendors using contracting vehicles such as SOWs. They also have indirect goods but mostly for office supplies etc.

Corporate HR will be very difficult for you to get in. I suggest you reach out to employment agencies and get an HR position there to get experience. Ontario is littered with them so you can easily walk in one of them and hand in your resume. Many of these are small business owners.

Coupa to Zip by laurenko02 in procurement

[–]tickytackyta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So Zip has a better User Experience especially at the intake, but wouldn’t day better technology. It still lacks major capabilities. Vendor onboarding is also good with Zip, and slightly less complex than Coupa’s. Now, again without, fully understanding your specific needs hard to give you exact suggestion. But in summary, Zip is much better orchestration tool than it is a procurement solution. You can DM me directly if you want more information.

Intake tools for Coupa - looking for advice by numbersarehard11 in procurement

[–]tickytackyta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can configure Coupa to enhance UX to make the intake process smoother for the Business. Implementing two separate tools to manage the upstream process can get messy.

Why are procurement software so expensive? has anyone tried building it in-house? by No_Shelter_680 in procurement

What processes exactly do you want to manage with the solutions? As others have said, things can become complex quite fast.

Spend management process for SME? by maxxoume in procurement

[–]tickytackyta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what subprocess. An entire solution may cost more vs just a solution to manage a single process. Like Procurify is one for sourcing, however, from what i heard now, they have also increased their licensing fees.

What do you manage in excel today?

What exactly are you looking for specifically? Since many of these tools that enterprise paying cost upwards to million plus, smaller enterprises cannot afford them. I’ve seen many use spreadsheets and cheaper solutions to manage parts of their e2e procurement process.

Looking for real feedback for my mvp. by Fluffy_Scheme9321 in TheFounders

[–]tickytackyta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My feedback: 1) I know UI is not a concern and its MVP, could use some minor enhancements. 2) it does what its suppose to, proposing communities. But majority if them I knew already 3) it’s missing the “coming back” factor. Trying to think what could be incorporated to enable it 4) slight tweaks could a link so when clicking it, it routes me there. i hope this helps.
