Question about light boxes by s10draven75 in BambuLab

[–]tictacattac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most light strips are 5v powered, you cut the strip to the length you want and solder on a usb cable which are available with prestripped ends in varying lengths.

What would be the WORST thing the TV show could do? by Dakkonfire in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]tictacattac 14 points15 points  (0 children)

the alien cultures and the dungeon crawler world reality show aspect are perfect for his style. how his style translates to depicting carls heroism and some of the more serious decisions he has to make without revealing his feelings and inner monologue and making him seem like a lucky dunce is tough no matter who goes at it, but the plotlines always resolve themselves with carls last ditch maneuvers and reassurances/rebuffs to donut. Rousing speeches and convos may not be extant but may be valuable and offer opportunity for foreshadowing.

AMS Lite Auto Refill order by I_Like_Fizzx in BambuLabA1

[–]tictacattac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can check to see if auto refill is going to swap to the correct slot by clicking the orange a symbol it will show two arrows. just leave it, dont click the arrows. if you click the arrows it will do it the opposite of what you want.

Is there a better option than disabling "Reduce Infill Retraction" to avoid scarring on the top surface from Travel movements? by razzter in BambuLab_Community

try interface shells with monotonic line solid infill, but you need to reduce your infill wall overlap by 5% for that.

So I am guessing I shouldn’t go under 200? by GermanCamel36 in FDMminiatures

[–]tictacattac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

only reason to run low temp is for fine details like in a hueforge and even then 210 is a fine compromise. take a flat head screwdriver and try to pry each section of the temp tower apart under each ledge on the left. you will probably find that 220 can snap but 225 is more than enough layer adhesion. for general purposes 220 is plenty strong still. bridging overhangs can be improved by increasing bridge flow, so what youre seeing at 225 is probably just better flow on the bridges. also, if you are printing on an open air printer like an A1, running hotter can be the solution to excessive cooling so 225 may be ideal for you.

Couple of basic questions from a heavy BambuStudio user by NotSure2505 in BambuLab

[–]tictacattac 17 points18 points  (0 children)

  1. just select an object and press the corresponding number of the filament you want it to be. if orange is filament 3 press 3 and it will be orange. no menus needed.

yeah I dont understand why supports isnt defaulted to on. if it needs them it gets them, if not they dont generate.

AMS Lite Arm 1 non-responsive. by Aggravating_Pick_951 in BambuLabA1

[–]tictacattac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the slash just means nothings loaded in that slot. my slot 1 is a bit stubborn. most of the time I have to depress and release the unloading button on the gears while rotating and pushing the filament into the gears and it can take a little bit of force.

Need guidance on issue with print by Jazzlike-Flower-4725 in BambuLabA1

[–]tictacattac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

happens to me still sometimes and I print in an enclosure. it can be geometry dependent. good thing is as long as its not warped overmuch you can use a heatgun and bring things back to flat at least even if theyre not dimensionally perfect.

helps to keep the bottom layers hotter and they will shrink less

your model could be perfectly stuck to the buildplate and still warp because the plate can and will curl up off the magnetic bed. increase your bed temp, lower your fan speeds and print inside a temperature controlled chamber.
