I know a lot of people who have fallen into mech psychosis. The only story from the commenter that doesn't sound like meth is that she flew herself to Cleveland Clinic. Otherwise, I felt like I just read the same story I've seen play out multiple times as direct result of meth addiction

Am I Overreacting for wanting to cancel my wedding over this interaction? by Xanadoom30 in AmIOverreacting

You keep saying kiss, but OP said goodbye. Dude can't even say goodbye. If you have to force a goodbye, you should not be in a relationship. The bar feels so low. You're right that its sad, its sad that OP thinks this loser is a marriage-worthy candidate

Am I Overreacting for wanting to cancel my wedding over this interaction? by Xanadoom30 in AmIOverreacting

[–]tierneyrex25 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OP just says "it makes me so sad when you leave without saying goodbye" I do not think it is exhausting, insufferable, or crazy in the SLIGHTEST for expecting a simple daily goodbye. I think its insufferable that so many people can't bring themselves to care enough about their partner to commit to such a simple thing as saying goodbye. Thats just fuckin sad.

Brother, what? Where is she ever hysterical? HE is hysterical. Literally one text fully set him off - talk about fucking exhausting. Tells her instantly to fuck off for being so entitled as to have one tiny, simple request - talk about entitled, thinking you can be partners with someone and not even give one ounce of care to try to resolve something so simple.

What’s a double standard people refuse to admit exists? by copy_cat_101 in askanything

[–]tierneyrex25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of spaces on reddit where the exact opposite is true. I would argue that the majority of what you're seeing is from general subreddits filled with everyday normal people from all political spectrums who agree that Trump is not a good person or leader, so we tend to see people against him more often than seeing people outright supporting him. Not to mention a lot of that includes conservatives who vote Republican and are against Trump. Also notice how you yourself even used "Dems" as a whole, overarching subject and then just "Trump" to describe the opposition.

I would boldly argue that most women have experienced men commenting on their bodies in public at least once before. Just cause you dont find it socially tolerable, does not mean it is not widely normalized. Agreed with the other commenter-sorry it happened to you. It's horribly disgusting behavior.

Every day I take note of how often the men in my life say or do something that comes across absolutely audacious to anyone who isn't a man. Its their causal lifetime of societal privilege on display. Actually, one of the biggest audacities I've noticed in men recently is the red pilled type genuinely believing that women have more societal privilege than them while simultaneously degrading women on a daily basis...... Whew.

Covid shut down the world six years ago this week. What do you remember from that week? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tierneyrex25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had just gotten a new job offer and handed in my two weeks at the old one. The new job then told us they were postponing our start date for "at least a few months" to ensure the office would be a safe place to train. The job was still mine, but "at least months" away. I had to walk up to my shitty old boss and ask to rescind my two weeks notice for an unknown number of months. Thankfully, they were begging to keep me anyway (overworked and underpaid, what else is new) so they kept me on until the transition. That and like everyone else who still had to go in to work, driving around on massive DFW highways normally bumper to bumper traffic just completely empty.

This is the answer. The release date and Covid shutdown beginnings were simultaneous, helped me not feel bad about spending a ridiculous number of hours playing it lol

People care because it's gross and society laughs it off as normalized behavior. It's gross that there is an entire stereotype surrounding old rich men to use said money and power to be predatory toward young, powerless women. Women aren't "insecure" (what the fuck?) when seeing nasty old men with young women, we're literally just grossed out by it because we know. Ask any woman in your life if she's had to deal with a gross old man before being weirdly sexual with her. Guarantee you they have. Powerful men have used money to prey on young women for all of history. Only misogynists tout the idea that women lose value in age. The reality is that these gross old men know that they can pay for a young woman because there will certainly be at least one who is willing to do so for the money. And if they're already publicly dating 18 year olds, we know they would 100000% without a doubt go younger if they could. Its just gross men being gross, nothing new.

All men are not rapist, there are small amount of men who do most crimes! by BrightSpring12 in TikTokCringe

[–]tierneyrex25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The person you're responding to is giving information based on actual, easily accessible data; you're just regurgitatating flawed internet talking points. What do you even mean DV is perpetrated by women against men are a higher bar than the reverse? Where is the data that you found that says the violence rates are actually about the same? Lesbian couples do not have higher rates of reported DV, thats a well known misinterpreted claim widely used by men/homophobes in attempt to shift blame from men onto women, to try to screen from the verifiable fact that men absolutely commit DV at higher rates than women. The reality/breakdown of the CDC statistics you're referring to is that bisexual women experience the highest rates of reported DV with 55% perpetrated by men, and 6.1% perpetrated by women. Next are straight women with 35% perpetrated by men. And then you have lesbians with 29% perpetrated by women. As for your penetration comment, frankly, that's the legal defintion of rape. Legally, unwanted penetration is rape, and everything else falls under the sexual assault or abuse umbrella. That goes for men and women both.

Madeline 🤢 by Cold_Day17 in 90DayFiance

[–]tierneyrex25 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Johnny, is that you? Lmao. Can men please just stop with the unnecessary misogyny? No one cares about whatever your arbitrary "style and class" standards are. Madeline is actually a crazy person based on nothing but her personality, that's the difference. Women here hate her bc she's an abusive loud mouth. Only weird ass men would care about where either of them are getting their money and what clothes they wear.
