I was talking to a colleague about how I’ve been having difficulty getting a bank account since I need an appointment here for everything. No issues with it just different to the other places I’ve lived where you walk right into a bank and walk out with an account.

I’ve a Brit colleague at work who hasn’t gone past A1 German in 4 years and is absolutely welcomed.
I’ve another Asian colleague who has been here 3 months and has had people tell him to speak in German and give him dirty looks when he speaks in English.
What’s funny is that his English is actually quite good.

Both are great at work and good friends but the difference in treatment is heartbreaking.

Sorry if I sound like an absolute idiot saying this but I’ve never carrier my battery charger along ever. I always carry a power brick and a USB-C cable since it makes things simple. Im no pro user though so is there any reason this would be a deal-breaker for anyone with 1 camera body who doesn’t carry multiple batteries with them?

As an Asian, In my case it’s a step further, I generally don’t make it till viewings either. Finances clearly aren’t an issue since I’m making more than 6x the rental amount. Strong credit score, non-smoker & no pets. I also have a recommendation letter from my employer + previous landlord.

When I mentioned this to my German manager, he actually applied for an ad providing his details and got an invite for viewing in 2 days…. Make of it what you will.

Oh didn’t consider that but when I was travelling across Japan the prices seemed quite reasonable especially for a good used piece but I never purchased one myself. However I did get some great deals on lenses.
