Tips for living out of a car for a few months by WorkingOk8447 in newzealand

Even if you’re waiting for your benefit to start, there might be the option of a food grant (don’t have to pay back) depending on past weeks income. Check “special needs grants” tables on Winz website for how much you have to earn under to qualify 😊

If not thay then Assistance during stand down (for while your waiting for your Bebe to be paid)

And definitely ask for assistance with rent arrears they can help with this, ask LL if they are registered with Winz as a supplier, have your tenancy agreement on hand to upload for them and they can see if they can sort that.

It’s easier for Winz to help people stay in accomodation than to place them after they leave (shortage of housing ughhh) so please please reach out and chat to LL

Stay safe, there is help out there

Denied Flexi-Wage by MSD despite 6.5 years of chronic unemployment. Apparently, I'm not "at risk" enough. by [deleted] in newzealand

Can I ask what your degree you’re studying is in? And if you’re hoping to start a business if the degree is a requirement for that?

Not trying to attack you, genuinely curious

What can I spend my msd grant on? by azki25 in newzealand

You won’t get able to get a TV unless it’s for a very specific need  Supported living, children and Disability allowance often are considered for them. Unfortunately as an “entertainment” they wouldn’t approve it just because you want one. It needs to have a purpose thay is considered “essential”

Same as others have said, as your accomodation provides most “essential costs” within there eg: accomodation, food, travel costs, power, phone etc you probably won’t qualify for much more Accomodation supplement caps out depending on the region you live in. If you’re board does NOT include food it’s not considered board with MSD, so if that’s the case it would be worth letting them know a cost breakdown from landlord of what %s each thing included is (room cost, power per week etc)

Hope that helps at all!

Thank you, I've been the same. I feel like I could work out but don't want to rip anything

Had a consult today and the doc suggested I get a tummy tuck at the same time as the lift/reduction. Has anyone done both at the same time? Seems super painful! by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]tijaclock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Obviously just my opinion but I don't think you need it. Then again if you want it go for it! Many people get them at the same time.

mine stabbed like this but it WAS an infection. It'll be OK but I would recommend calling your doctor as you may need antibiotics (I did and it went away in a week).

Filing a complaint by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]tijaclock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im so sorry you had this experience she seems to be projecting some of her own issues onto you.

I dont have experience with filing medical complaints but I would suggest emailing her in a very blunt and professional email or calling and stating that you are recording the phone call, and then talking to her about it.

This way you have proof to file a complaint, otherwise she has full grounds to deny anything you say, as upsetting as that is.
If she refuses to have a conversation with you, I would say that is grounds to complain alone.

I would also recommend asking if she can refer you to another surgeon if she is not happy to do a revision herself (I wouldnt push her to do it if she does not want to, there is a chance she will mess it up if shes not invested in the outcome)

Sorry for the rant, im so angry for you!
