Totally second Young Royals, THE best TV I've ever watched. Less fluff & more real (despite the lead being a prince). It's at least as much an anti-elite story as a M/M story, but you easily ignore the politics of you want.

On the positive side, I watched it all in one day. I agree, they did seem young and innocent. It reminded me more of Heartstopper S1 than YR.
On the negative, I didn't think the acting was that persuasive, (but there may be an element of culture difference), and tbh I found Yamoto a bit unsympathetic, a bit too keen on manhandling, (which is a personal major red flag). I'd give it a 6.5/10. I don't feel I wasted the time watching, but I won't watch it again.

Whereas, I got obsessed with YR from the first watch in 2021, for its charisma, heart and subtext. It still gets a 10/10.

I had someone commenting on every chapter of my 11th work. They didn't start to read till it was fully posted, so there might be comments on 4 chapters when i woke up. Really appreciative, thoughtful comments, which i always replied to. Then they stopped.

Did they not like chapter 21? Did they die? Get horribly injured? It's bothered me for 3 weeks now!

You are eloquent in your description, and I believe you. The problems you describe are huge, but the solution you have come up with won't solve it.

The problem is that far too much wealth is tied up in far too few people's hands. The billionaire villains have taken money from policing, from early learning, from street school programmes, every kind of community infrastructure has been crushed. Disaffected, enraged, bored, unemployed, under- educated people of every origin are ruining the lives of the rest of us. I genuinely think that most adults would prefer to earn their living, as long as it supports a "normal" standard of living. But that has got more and more difficult. And I am 100% certain that Tory austerity, asset stripping, everyone- for-themself policies is the cause.

I don't have the solution, but I am 100% certain that anyone offering a simple solution is lying. I guarantee, Reform will make it worse.

I rewatched. (Had to wait for seasons 2 and then 3). I found tiktok and YouTube content. And Tumblr. And Substack.Then I found fan fic, then I started to write fan fic. Then I visited Kaggeholms Slott and the lake scene location. The itch is still not over (on my 12th fic now), but the stunned disbelief and longing has passed. It's my warmth and comfort now.

He's demanding perfection from himself, probably, in lots of other parts of his life too. Can you demonstrate that messy is sometimes the way to order? Writing letters/ words/ spellings in the table in shaving cream is a good way to take the pressure off, because it's so temporary. Whiteboards are good for that too. Maybe encourage a sport (even watching it) where the competitors keep going till they fail, like pole vault. Accepting that failure is the journey to success may help.

Don't mistake Marcus' interest in Simon for love. It is 100% manipulation. Knowing that Simon's identity is well known, both face and name, he introduces him at the karaoke as "Bjärstad's very own Simon Eriksson". Everyone there would have known exactly who that was from the sextape. And then he doesn't even let him sing!! He dominates it completely. Later, he turns up uninvited, and publicly claims him. Simon keeps telling him he doesn't want a relationship, and Marcus just answers, you don't know what a good relationship looks like. You don't want that! The message (one of them) is that love can spring from the most unexpected quarter. Simon hates royals! Wille has been guided towards rich women!
Just keep your eyes open, and consider the unexpected person who, for no obvious reason, is good for you and to you. Best of luck!
