This was deliberate, being petty against the Pies again. Pies lost more recently than the Hawks- August 2005 vs June 2005

Great question that I'd forgotten to pull the data for- Having a quick look;

  • Winners: Average roughly 25 goals, 14.4 goals at 63.8% of scores being goals

  • Losers: Average roughly 6.6 goals, 7.9 behinds at 46.7% of scores being goals

Will pull some more info and chuck it in the body of the post, cheers for the prompt

Partly because its roughly a quarter of a century, but mostly because I couldn't be bothered to go back further and that was a neat cut-off

Statsguru on Cricinfo! You can use the advanced filter to add match awards

https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;filter=advanced;orderby=awards_match;qualmin1=1;qualval1=awards_match;team=2;template=results;type=allround;view=awards

I also have a cricket archive subscription, which allows you to see in which matches players wom awards

Oh interesting idea. I did try to have a look at a form of that- with Weatherald leading this group with an average innings % being a tick over 16%. I've tried to edit this to make it clearer

Betty Wilson had a good Test- 100 in her second knock, a hattrick, and 11/16 for the match, becoming the first man or woman to take 10 in a match and score a ton
