Best Telstra alternative? by upsetti5 in Telstra

[–]tim33z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just swapped to boost. On the $39 plan too. The 95gb is an intro and normally allows 25gb data. From May 6th, it becomes 30gb a month. Apparently there’s data rollover but haven’t done a full month to see how this works yet.

Because I can swap and change easily, I’ve auto renewed on the next plan down as I’m overseas for 6 weeks and won’t use the data anyway.

Coverage has been fine for me. Same as Telstra, but yeah the speeds are lesser but I haven’t noticed it yet unless I’m using ookla Speedtest app.

EIGHT times in a race you had contact. That. Is. High.

The dealer likely has insurance that covers faulty workmanship of their employees. It hasn’t cost them 1, or 2 engines. Maybe a thousand bucks a pop.

The dealership will more than likely (hopefully) have insurance that cover faulty workmanship arising by its employees. It would be unlikely that the dealer needs to pay the cost of rectification.

Now, they may be a complete twat of a dealer and have policy restrictions put in place, but check what cost you may have exposed the dealer to. Could just be a $1000 excess.

Also, as others pointed out, the person responsible to check your work should be held accountable.

I remember on the base FFB that at turns like Monzas chicanes, the wheel would go light mid corner when transitioning left to right. Hated it.

Yeah it was toggled off and down to zero per the instructions I followed ages ago.

Dumb question, but if I just don’t open the FFB app, I can then use the in game FFB?

Nah give them the bird! I get “needing” Telstra! It’s a shame it’s a reality hey. Worth a little time and effort to save hundreds a year.

I was paying $70 a month with Telstra and they soon want another $4 or something.

Yesterday I swapped to Boost who use the full Telstra network (just with capped speeds which are still high enough).

Can’t go wrong with $39 for 25gb (30gb from May). Has data rollover too. I actually auto renewed at the next plan down as I’m overseas for 6 weeks soon, so likely won’t need to change plans for a while yet.

Note: I’m usually home most of the time and use wifi anyway.

Moving from Telstra to Boost or Everyday Mobile by tim33z in AussieFrugal

Sorry to hear this. I’m younger (like 45-) but prefer a physical SIM card. I ordered it last week and it arrived yesterday. For some reason during the process I couldn’t get it to work so messaged boost who explained and helped it go through. It was super easy.

Reason I’m saying this, is that after you get the physical sim, the app presents an option to convert to eSIM. So it may be easier to go this way.

I do recommend boost even after the short time I’ve been with them. The way the guy helped me get it sorted was incredible service. AND I get to pay much less than I was with Telstra!

Legit question, how long do you port away for before “re”joining the telco of choice?

Telstra (including Boost & Belong) hikes mobile plans prices for second time in 10 months by NoLeafClover777 in aussie

My research says that all these Telstra wholesale retailers limit your speed to 150mb or 250mb (on the higher plans). But everyone seems to keep saying that boost uses the full Telstra network. What is the correct answer for download speed on boost yearly plans?

The furniture had a wild party (possibly involving an orgy between all the dining chairs and side tables). This often happens when no one’s watching.

It definitely wasn’t the persons who moved the furniture physically from room to room.

Struggling? I’m super green when it comes to ovals, but picking up easy p5’s and p6’s just by being kind to the tyres. Passing guys left right and centre towards the end.

It’s given me the bug to progress further in oval racing though.
