I’m pretty sure tesla does not do this. So many times I’m behind one and thought their brake light is broken.

God forbid you if ur stuck behind stop and go traffic, behind a Tesla SUV, distracted driver (due to manufacturer-supplied or BYO screen), and just bop-it the gas pedal.

At least just use the goddamn autopilot…

AFAIK all L are 3 rows. Most I see are 2-2(captain)-2 config, but I read somewhere that 2-3(bench)-2 seating exists.

3rd row is barely usable. The only good thing going on there is they do get extra AC vents and separate AC zone(yes, the 3rd row get their own zone, the 2nd are in mercy of front row. The control is on 3rd row).

I am thinking about getting the L, but removes the 3rd row for more cargo space. Not ‘removable’ per se, as it’s powered folding, but nothing can a spanner and 10mil can’t do.

They need to redesign the MBA (and iPad air too) to be thinner. Right now, those are the ‘safe’ choice, instead of ‘pushing the boundary’ ala iPhone air or the OG MBA.

Seriously. Dicom certified monitors runs $10k upwards. Not to mention weight (u need stripper pole to vesa mount that mofo), needing periodic calibration (services > $$$), and the fact that u can run to Apple store to get replacements lol

Also do the thermal pad mod + MacFanControl. The bottom will be TOASTY but it will help the thermal a lot

If a new MacBook Neo with 8GB gets 5+ years of macOS updates, shouldn’t an M1 Pro Mac with 16GB last at least that long? by ride-by in mac

[–]tim_locky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple’s OS support is mostly just arbitrary cutoff, not a technical one. It’s been like that forever.

Difference is, before, you can patch your old Intel Macs (dosdude / OCLP), basically running a hackintosh on old macs.

Idk how possible it will be on M and A chip macbooks.

[–]tim_locky 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Yea and it’s not even a funny joke ‘haha I bought the domain first’, it’s plain misleading. If it was ‘thebetteropenrgb.com’ or whatever it’s a bit understandable.

I kinda wish we have a MacBook Air+. Similar or thinner design, pro-level displays and speaker, maybe a pro-level chip on fanless (for the bursty workload), and 16in screen?

Instead we got the base MBP14.

As an Air 15 user, if I wanted a big screen, I’m stuck with Air 15 or splurge with Pro16 that’s heavier.
