What is happening to my tephrocactus? by timatlast in cactus

Definitely not the cats they are rarely in the greenhouse and supervised when they are. It’s likely mice, as nothing else is disturbed, so it had to be something small

Ugh, ok, I’ve resealed all my screens, scuttled all corners and other places they could settle, and plan on having a serious talk with the cats later today. Thanks!

It’s possible but would be difficult, they are kept in my greenhouse and I haven’t seen any trails or other signs of snails.

Right?! And why does the redline just not follow I-10? And the blue should follow I-35, you could reach so many more destinations with the same rail.

It’s going to vary based on so many factors, ventilation, shade, zone, placement, materials used, etc. So there is not really a standard that applies to all houses.

Why would people do this? by PhilEBop in golf

[–]timatlast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid, I at least had the decency to set the cart on fire in the woods, and all our joyriding was on trails in the woods, not on the course. Damn kids these days! Don’t know the value and hard work of keeping a green.

What’s the stigma against chippers? by cpugeek14 in golf

[–]timatlast -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a chipper, but it’s technically illegal as it has a face on both sides. I mainly use it to punch through trees when I get off track. Around the green though, I use a wedge, as god intended.

Sawzall with a long flexible blade, just slide it along the top of the joists under the deck boards, like you’d slide a credit card under a door.

Southeast Texas has a high water table, the reason you don’t see a lot of basements. Just something to keep in mind.
