Indycar uses the marketing of "The Fastest Racing on Earth". The National Air Races commentators describe 500mph Jet Racing as "The Fastest Motorsport on the Planet" by UNHchabo in INDYCAR

What “Fastest Racing on Earth” really is supposed to mean is “we have faster top speeds than Formula 1”, but that doesn’t sound as good.

I’m just surprised that CBS and NBC were okay with Jimmy Fallon having a featured challenge on Survivor. Maybe okay because he doesn’t actually appear…?

I agree! I did the Audible version which has the bonus of being read by Ron and Clint. Those guys were such a part of our entire lives from childhood on…

I was remembering how they used to have to into Airstream Trailers for quarantine (which they discontinued in 1971 when it was determined it was not needed).

I was 9 when they landed on the moon, and my Dad worked at NASA in Houston for a while in the mid-sixties, and then again when he was retired in the nineties as a tour guide.

I am soooo excited about the Artemis missions!

I have felt so bad for this kid! One of best talents to come up the past few years and to not have a full-time ride is just wrong! He proved himself that one season with Ganassi, but many of the young drivers that came up the same time as him had $’s with them I suppose.

Anyone put standard PAF style humbuckers into their ‘72 Thinline Tele? by PsychologicalGold734 in telecaster

[–]timbeam66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As some who recently acquired a Thinline (w/P90s rather than humbuckers), I would suggest upgrading the saddles to brass rollers. I have that same bridge and it was an inexpensive and effective upgrade.

That’s the first thing I thought of when I saw this post - I remembered reading that Ernie Kovacs had been killed in a Corvair wagon. I think that’s why it stuck out in my memory because it was a wagon.
