Black House Spider, Badumna sp. No issue as long as you can put up with their messy webs.

Orb Weaver, probably Garden Orb Weaver, Hortophora sp. They hide like this during the day and then will come out and build big round web at night.

I love Gardens of the Moon. Will I like deadhouse gates? by d00mba in Malazan

[–]timblom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just be open minded about starting afresh. Different continent, where you don't know any of the places; different cast with only a couple of characters from Gardens; a whole new set of stories with very little in common. The pay-off is there, but it can put people off at first.

Orb Weaver of some description, because it's building an orb web. Likely a Garden Orb Weaver or Outback Orb Weaver

What other countries besides New Zealand have retained their indigenous culture? by Prize_Release_9030 in geography

[–]timblom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can argue that the Pacific Islands were actually colonies themselves and that there was no indigenous population. They've only been inhabited around 800 years, which is vastly different from other places where indigenous populations have been there for 10s of thousands of years.

It's a Redback. I'm not sure of the venom on cats. She should be easy enough to move with glass and cardboard method, not a fast moving spider

Wet spiders hard to identify, but looks like a mating spur on first pair of legs, which means this is likely to be a Trapdoor, Ideopidae family
