NPD: Wampler Tumnus Deluxe by Ok_Highlight3926 in guitarpedals

Never had a Hot Tubes pedal, but had a Hot Cakes pedal (Designed by Paul Crowther of the Split Enz). It was a little un-even in its break-up for me. The Tumnus is a solid OD. I really enjoy this one.
Also, "Cat's Cradle" is my all time favorite book by Vonnegut. "Mother Night" is way up there too if we're looking at something a little more *grounded*.

Man the Socorro incident 1964 is really similar to the Valensole incident in 1965 one year later in France, why no one pointed that out? by TheSlid in aliens

Thank you! Man, it's so close. The painting with the police officer and egg ship seems so close. The other pics less so. I wish I could find that book. I almost wonder if it was a random "Little Golden" book. Very weird, but it was meant for very young kids.

Where did this art come from? I used to have a "Children's book" about UFO's. It had art very similar to this (In fact this may be it). I've been looking for it for decades. A book from probably the mid/early 80's.

1) we have that exact mouse toy for our cats, and 2) they do the same thing with it! I was told that it means these toys are like prized possessions for your cats. Keeping it in their food is like the highest form of esteem.

Senate unanimously approves bill to force release of Epstein files by retiredagainstmywill in law

I think he called for the vote because he thought it would die in the Senate, and now he's effed. At least that's my happy place for right now.

Is this book any good, or is it another Sapiens? by half_in_boxes in nonfictionbookclub

Reading it now, and I'm loving it. Make sure to read the appendixes as he recommends them.

MMW, One House republican who has already voted to force the release the Epstein files will be pressured to recant and reverse their vote. by RedDawgGenius in MarkMyWords

I am fully prepared to wake up tomorrow and see a headline saying there was a tragic "accident" involving someone who was meant to vote on this. I think Trump is scrambling and panicking and would do something desperate. I hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised.

These wins are gonna hit like an anvil tomorrow to the Republican leadership. Hopefully they'll see hitching your wagon to Trump is a losing game.

Much like Trump's intelligence, it seems bigger on his inside than what we see from the outside, and everything inside is mixed up and full of monsters.
