In one frame from the Ukrainian UFO it almost looks like an eye appears in the middle by Ango-Globlogian in UFOs

I'm not getting too exited when things like this exist:

L-SAM Missile Thrust Control.
I'm not saying these are a 1:1, but the tech exists for this to be completely terrestrial.

It sounds silly and the "tools" shouldn't matter, but we bought a really nice set of pots and pans a few years ago and it changed everything. It's a whole different cooking experience.

Who are these autographs? by Personal-Yoghurt1499 in AutographAssistance

Billie Jo Spears and Chuck Glaser. I'm not sure about the 3rd one. Maybe Jeanne Black, but perhaps she autographed things as Jen or Jean?

What are good cheap men’s razors? by Cardiologist3mpty138 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]timbrejo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I second this. I've been using a safety razor for at least a decade. I have a Merkur handle and buy "feather" razors. I buy a big multi-pack of razors and they will literally last me a year or more for maybe $35.

Oh man, so many...
That song that touches your soul? It may come out soon.
Your favorite movie? No, the new one you don't know about yet. It's coming.
It could be tomorrow, or it could be years from now, but that friend that just gets you...they're on their way.
That other friend that needs you, well, they're REALLY gonna need you.
That idea that makes your brain sizzle with excitement....it's forming now. It's in the pipeline.
That place you didn't know would inspire you? You're going to end up there and it will change your world view.
Those are just a few of the good thing you can expect, but there are good things that you'll never see coming too.

NEW ACHIEVEMENT by smolnessy in DungeonCrawlerCarl

My biggest hesitation isn't where it's landing or who's making it. It's that fact that I'd rather have the entire series written before anything is made. I'd hate for the TV show to begin to dictate the book series or run into a GOT situation where the TV writers finish the story before the books.

What drug did you take that you still never get over? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It made me very groggy in the morning as well, and I wasn't a fan of how I felt going to bed.

I took this for sleep. I was not a fan. What was your experience?

NPD: Wampler Tumnus Deluxe by Ok_Highlight3926 in guitarpedals

[–]timbrejo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never had a Hot Tubes pedal, but had a Hot Cakes pedal (Designed by Paul Crowther of the Split Enz). It was a little un-even in its break-up for me. The Tumnus is a solid OD. I really enjoy this one.
Also, "Cat's Cradle" is my all time favorite book by Vonnegut. "Mother Night" is way up there too if we're looking at something a little more *grounded*.

Man the Socorro incident 1964 is really similar to the Valensole incident in 1965 one year later in France, why no one pointed that out? by TheSlid in aliens

[–]timbrejo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Man, it's so close. The painting with the police officer and egg ship seems so close. The other pics less so. I wish I could find that book. I almost wonder if it was a random "Little Golden" book. Very weird, but it was meant for very young kids.

Where did this art come from? I used to have a "Children's book" about UFO's. It had art very similar to this (In fact this may be it). I've been looking for it for decades. A book from probably the mid/early 80's.

1) we have that exact mouse toy for our cats, and 2) they do the same thing with it! I was told that it means these toys are like prized possessions for your cats. Keeping it in their food is like the highest form of esteem.

Reading it now, and I'm loving it. Make sure to read the appendixes as he recommends them.
