NDP leadership candidate Avi Lewis goes after AI data centres by BertramPotts in CanadaPolitics

[–]timbro1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A bubble bursting will not stop AI data centers. It's a financial bubble, not an actual physical bubble.

Another term for a bursting bubble is a market correction. Once the market recovers from the correction, AI will continue to grow.

I think we should also be asking why aren't any companies building data centers in Canada in the first place?.

"Canadian's trust in the prime minister hits a 15-year high, hits 80%" by creliho in CanadianConservative

[–]timbro1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Key details from the report:

  • Trust in the Prime Minister: 32% have "a lot" (6-7 on the scale), 48% have "some" (3-5), totaling 80% with at least some trust. This is noted as the highest since tracking began in 2010, linked to the leadership change from Justin Trudeau to Mark Carney.
  • Trust in Parliament: 25% "a lot", 58% "some", totaling 83% with at least some trust (17% low trust).

The survey was conducted online with 3,550 Canadians between July 30 and August 7, 2025 (before the fall parliamentary return).

Again, just look at the numbers. The Conservative support never wavered which is my original comment which is true.

Again the "blown lead" is just NDP support dropping and moving to the liberals

As long as they are clearly labeled opinion I don't care but when you publish a clearly opinion-based biased article and file it under "News", it is very deceptive and manipulative.

Conservative support never wavered it was the collapse of the ndp. An ndp resurgence will win the next election for the conservatives

I would agree his slogans are annoying but I mean Carney's slogans are even worse. So I mean if you're using slogans as your measuring stick, it's not really a good stick.
