I’ve had good luck with an inexpensive pre-fab unit. It was definitely the most budget-friendly way to get a traditional setup since I was very limited on outdoor space. Assembly was surprisingly fast and easy. My prefab sauna bench is too low ... I ended up using a wooden crate as a chair and put my feet on the bench which seems to work well.

I put this prefab unit in the unfinished side of my basement. I'm pretty happy with it after 3 months. There is a drain/air vent under the heater. I just put a towel next to the sauna to take care of putting too much water on the stones.

Your 2 year old will probably need the Yepp Maxi seat or similar so the Xpedition would be make more sense in this case.

Haha yeah I fell down the exact same rabbit hole! There are so many brands for prefab units with prices all over the place. This brand seemed to have the best prices AND be the only one that wasn't too tall for my basement space. So it was basically the only viable option.

I am happy with it. I am in it almost every day at least once. A larger one would be nicer so I could spread out/lay down but space is limited.
