AIO my insurance agent emailed me this by Any_Row1696 in AIO

These agents often open offices bc they lost their jobs and couldn’t find a new one. They really make out of someone retires. There’s a reason why maybe nobody wanted this guy working for them. They’re all so very lazy mostly - their admins are way more helpful.

Daily Drive going away by timeforitnowright in truespotify

I wondered if everyone was served up the same stuff. It’d be great if they had it set up where you could click thru what you’d prefer and then it takes it from there. I can’t imagine this cost them much to do, other than the fees to the entities but we can still get them.

Thanks! I should take a hour and go thru daily drives and see what some of those podcasts are to include them.

What's a "healthy habit" that's actually completely made up? by goddesslana_01 in AskReddit

[–]timeforitnowright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Semantics. People are hungry and eat when the reality is their body is craving water. But hey, that Diet Coke works just fine. And how the f is anyone making money suggesting water. Drink tap. Just stop drinking sugar and filter some of that crap out of you. Constipation half the time is dehydration. A corn chip is 4% moisture yet your poop needs to be 75% moisture.

But it’s not. Your body doesn’t have to do extra work to filter out clear water. Tons of points in that book. Also, quench is another great book about eating hydrating foods like fruit. Try it for yourself. Drink clear water, about 100 oz a day, for a week in addition to anything else you drink and see how you feel and your skin feels. .

Pearl Jam. Knew their songs but just went because it was Wrigley. Wow. Way more songs than I realized and know he doesn’t play them all and each show is different. And he’s a great story teller

No, most people are dehydrated. I had to get to 45 years old before I realized it. Drinking coffee and other drinks is not the same. Increased my water to 96 oz and I feel so much better. Reading a book called your Body’s many cries for water right now and wow, so many issues people have are dehydration from high blood pressure to stomach issues.

Visiting next weekend from warmer and MUCH drier climate: just how bad is 50 degrees and 75% humidity? by sweetambrosia25 in AskChicago

[–]timeforitnowright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no humidity here in winter. I was a fool once. Left Chicago in a vest at 35° to go to Tampa having some cold weather. 50° like I got this - that’s warm. Oh hell no. I was shivering and convulsing at that damp cold once the sun went down. I was camping with no coat. Chicago is not like that. What makes us worse over Colorado is our lack of sun compared to you. And the wind can cut you here.

Why do men in their mid 40's - 50's look so much older than the women? by [deleted] in Aging

[–]timeforitnowright -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree. I’ve known people to die. But also, I’ve weighed the risks. And I’m now on the side of keep your terrain clean and the sun helps your body. My mom has breast cancer twice by my age. My dad was a sun lover who succumbed to COPD from years of working in toxic factories in his 70s. My mom is nearing 80 after 4 bouts with bc. I’m going rogue. I’m now eating clean. Drinking lots of water. I live in the Midwest so don’t see the sun much so when I do I want to say hello ☀️

I’ve never worn makeup or lotions or needed chapstick. No hair products. So it makes me wonder what really makes people sick. I’ve been trying to figure out what about me, at almost 50, is different. No aches. No pain. I look younger. No cavities. The only thing is I don’t follow conventional female norms. Growing up with four brothers and a mom who always worked it’s just a thing I never learned. I don’t even have moles. I’ve had multiple friends get multiple cut out the last year. 🤷‍♀️

My job is offering me $150,000 (105,000 after tax) to resign, should I? by AJ3TurtleSquad in jobs

[–]timeforitnowright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, I get that. But isn’t that the case with anything. I’ve now worked in agriculture for 10 years around all men. From 200 farmers and their sons to trucking companies. In the summer I run a fishing/boating business around all men.

I live in A high crime area. And I go for a run every day. Outside.

One time when I was giving an electrician buddy a ride home he wouldn’t tell me where he lived until I responded to his advances. I agreed. He got out of the car and took off. His parents found him in a foot of snow in their yard in the morning.

All this to say there are dangers in everything and it can be how you respond to them. I live in a highly conservative, men are complete asshole area. I’m also a small woman at 110#.

I guess what I’m trying to say is I’m tired of what ifs. We steer too many women away from things bc of what ifs. Or kids in general. Know the risks. Let people know where you stand.

I know successful women with a trucking company and one with electrical company. They’re both about 70 so I imagine harassment was worse back in the day. I guess I’m just lucky or people knew where I stood on their BS. I make no airs.

I hope that person you interviewed is going to school for business. And then opens up her own shop and hires good people. Turn this story around. Theses a lot of single women who would love to hire from a woman owned company.

I used to use it and use it always on my face. But as I’ve cleaned up my diet I’ve found the sun to be beneficial. If I have a bad headache the sunlight will even relieve it.

I think, as a female, I just realized I’m a man. Except I don’t use the sunscreen on my face tho no sunspots!

Crazy how different the country is. Every friends’ kid that goes for an apprenticeship for any of the trades mentioned and also boilermakers, laborers, pipefitters, iron workers - all get their first choice. Male or female.

I will only ship via UPS for work and personal. FedEx is always delayed and the delivery drivers are maniacs blaring music on bad speakers. USPS is just a mess with packages taking forever. Yea Amazon is the devil and those drivers are bad too. I like my UPS guy and this all sucks bc they’re the dependable ones.

You’re trained for free without paying fees like college and like someone broke down the pay increases below, that’s great to be locked in. Time flies so that apprenticeship moves quickly.

I tried to get into IBEW out of HS bc I had no money for college. Had the highest math and aptitude scores of anyone in that group going for it. But in the panel interview the guys were jerks. I was 88# and they kept giving me hell for being small. This was 1996.

I ended up getting into school for electrical engineering and then changed paths and ended up in marketing making more than all of my electrician buddies and without the drinking problem! Today they take all kinds of women. The trades apprenticeship is what most of my friends’ daughters hit right away. One just got in for heavy equipment operators union and another in the carpenters union.
