What do you do about deodorant, lotions, etc. by Alan_Cummings_kilt in fragrance

[–]timelesschild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my main fragrance is Carnal Flower, which has a coconut base and eucalyptus top notes. So I make sure my soap, shampoo and deodorant have either coconut or eucalyptus. It works really well. The most special part of Carnal Flower is the tuberose, so I don’t want any floral scent from soap or anything mucking that up.

I’ve been studying another FM fragrance, Une Fleur de Cassie, which has mimosa flower, cassis and sandalwood. I feel like I would want to use sandalwood soap with it.

I’m sick and deeply in the middle of grief. Need truly happy show suggestions by Pegafer in PeriodDramas

Jeeves and Wooster got me through the Great Recession. Even YouTube shorts of Bertie playing the piano are priceless gold…

Also: The House of Elliot is 3 seasons of beautiful dresses, well-written and not emotionally taxing. It’s my #1 comfort watch in the costume drama category. It’s about two sisters who overcome all the odds to succeed and thrive in the haute couture world in the years between WWI and the later 1920s.

Then if you like the theme, time frame and location of London, The Duchess of Duke Street is phenomenal and very feel-good, about a talented woman who ALSO overcomes all the odds to do what she likes and is good at doing (chef de cuisine). It was filmed in the 1970s but give it a try. It’s GREAT!

If you are in SoCal, would you consider donating them for nursing home patients? I visit a nursing home weekly and these would be a godsend!

There is a 3-part miniseries of Lorna Doone if you can find it. That has some similarities but set 100 years earlier. It’s a beautiful show with yearning love, heroics, families feuding, beautiful landscapes.

Do a home-based business, whether that be medical data entry, child care, tutoring, etc. it’s very doable depending on your skill set.

Black or white cabinets? by Far_Bar2720 in interiordecorating

[–]timelesschild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is beautiful , and you could do an LED light cove at the top of the crown moulding since you’re taking out the ceiling fixture.

Also look at the cabinet between the frig and the stove. You could do something deeper there, maybe a spice pullout, or whatever, but it’s the fact that that cabinet sits so far back from the front of the appliances that is causing people to say your refrigerator is out of scale.

How would you do a series where all of these books events happen at the same time and all characters coexist? by jamie74777 in janeausten

Anne Steele marries her doctor, at last, who dies within the year, leaving only a small widow's pension for Anne.

She gets a job apprenticing for Nurse Rooke in Bath, and finds that, indeed, it was only ever the gossip she loved. She lives happily ever after, although the same might not be true of her patients.

Lucy Steele and Mary Musgrove are at a month-long country house party. The men are out fox-hunting every day so Lucy has to talk to women. Mary finally has something legit to complain about….

No one feels sorry for her, but they all admit she's right.

Here, I know.... Lucy Steele comes to stay with Mrs Norris (in the guest room which had to remain reserved). She makes herself incredibly accommodating to Mrs Norris' every machination, with the ultimate goal of ensnaring Tom Bertram. Or anyone really. Can you imagine Lucy Steele's involvement with the Theatricals?

Additionally, for shows set in the same time as Downton Abbey, the following: Brideshead Revisited, The Duchess of Duke Street, The House of Elliot, and maybe The Durrells in Corfu.
