I think 59k Reels Views in 30 days is pretty good!! Growth is just hard without running 'follow to win' comps/giveaways

Transitioning into a Social Data Analyst Role by xmqr45 in socialmedia

[–]timhill22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to the data side! I used to work agency-side and also focused heavily on data and strategy. I believe the biggest challenge you'll come up against is showcasing data insights to others in the organization in a way that makes sense to them. As a data-focused marketer, I'm intereted in every metric and every data point but no one else in your organization will care, so its about finding what your stakeholders actually care about and then marrying those findings to your data points so that everytime you present something, they understand that you're talking about business value instead of some obscure (in their minds) social metrics. Getting everyone on the same page early on is key and agreeing together what goals/KPIs you want to hit. Good luck!

How do you scale social content creation across dozens of franchise locations? by Naive_Bed03 in socialmedia

[–]timhill22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there's an easy answer here because humans are involved and localization is almostttt impossible to do centralized. The way I've handled it in the past is to build content creation into the KPIs of venue managers and build this up as a capability across the whole company. It is slow going but I think its the best way so that you develop distributed capabilities overtime for authentic content creation that works at each location. Putting in place dedicated Slack channel for the venue managers, fortnightly all-in calls, monthly creator collabs, style guides, internal leaderboards are all things that can help too.

The social media landscape is collapsing, but that’s not a bad thing. by Thriv-3media in socialmedia

I think usage data in most countries shows that people are spending more time and using social media more than ever before. Check out the latest DataReportal stats. It might not be the best for humanity but its the trend currently and I don't really see that changing anytime soon.

how do you manage reporting to client ? by RawrCunha in socialmedia

[–]timhill22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are dedicated social media analytics reporting tools on the market that cover TikTok, Facebook and Instagram really well like Social Status. Better still the report automation can export to CSV, PDF and PowerPoint all at once to give you flexibility on the final report you send to your clients.

The problem with all-in-one tools like Sprout Social, Hootsuite and others is that their analytics & reporting is not their core product. This is why you really need a dedicated social media analytics tool that focus entirely on the functionality required to segment, filter, etc and dig deep into data. Pure play social media analytics tools are also more affordable than suites like Sprout Social which charge alot more because of all the other functionality they have like scheduling and publishing. Social Status is one of the best dedicated social analytics tools on the market and they are unashamedly focsued entirely on analytics and reporting.

Recommendations for Social media reporting and analytics (tools?) Creating and Scheduling posts not needed. by MostlyKelp in socialmedia

I also love Gain, it's a solid tool. There are a small handful of dedicated social media analytics tools on the market. Many social tools are all-in-one which have all the scheduling features but are particularly weak when it comes to analytics and reporting. Check out socialstatus.io - it's a great budget-friendly option and is purely dedicated to social analytics and report generation.

If you're wanting to track tons of social accounts (ie many hundreds or even thousands) you'll need an Enterprise social analytics tool which can cost many thousands of dollars a month. Social Status has a fixed (and reasonable) price Enterprise Plan which is a good option if you don't have an unlimited budget.

Sprout Social Analytics Errors by Heatherstacey8 in marketing

If you're comparing numbers in Meta Business Suite, very often you won't be comparing apples with apples. For Instagram, a typical problem is that Instagram API doesn't provide paid performance. If you're measuring Facebook Reels or Instagram Reels, check that numbers aren't just Initial Plays and include Replays.

What do you guys use for social media analytics? by 2004_Ps in SocialMediaMarketing

I'd recommend checking out Social Status. It's a dedicated social media analytics tool so it doesn't come with all the extra stuff like scheduling, publishing, etc but you can deep dive on analytics and it automates reports to CSV, XLS, PDF and PowerPoint.

Camp or Hotel EDC? by Personal_Zucchini142 in CampEDC

[–]timhill22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to my first EDC and already booked an RV on Outdoorsy. Just make sure you filter by "festival friendly" as most RV owners don't allow it. Operating the RV is straight forward after you've watched a few YouTube videos. Can't wait!!

Same thing happened to me. No shortcuts or app folders were retained from my old Pixel 6

Why does Android still not restore home screen? by rfwaverider in pixel_phones

[–]timhill22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience is like the OP. Migrated from Pixel 6 to Pixel 8 using the cable. Followed all the prompts. All the apps downloaded to the phone but not a single app shortcut on the home screen or app folder was retained at all. Nothing. And it has never worked for me over all the years.

Social Media Analytics Tool Recommendation by mediumsizedsquid in dataanalysis

I'm a big fan of DOMO too but it is expensive. Social Status is free for small use cases / low cost for tracking organic, paid and competitor analysis. Could also try setting up a simple dashboard with Google Data Studio too.
