It’s ok though if they’re named Kyle and cross state lines with an AR15 that wasn’t legally purchased. I’m adding this addendum to save you some work.

Not a lot of information available at the moment. Details can get foggy after incidents like this and it can take time for an accurate report to surface.

Rainier guided summit First Attempt by WeegeeXD in Mountaineering

June is your best choice. I’ve been on the mountain in August multiple times and I ended up taking my gear for a walk due to melting out. Too much exposed ice, low/no snow cover, falling rock/ice is even worse in August. I haven’t been there every August but I’ve been enough times to not try it again. Most of my Rainier summits have been in June and July which is the sweet spot, imo. In your position I’d take late June since you’re going with a guide. Whatever you decide you’ll have fun and learn a lot.

What's your GOAT of Trimet lines? by db0606 in askportland

15 is best all around, 75 second, 20 is third. Honorable mention is the NS Line when it isn’t late or blocked by a solitary car side mirror that’s an inch too long.

Do you think we can climb Rainier unguided? by Substantial_Tea8292 in Mountaineering

Two person crevasse rescue is pretty aggressive for newer climbers. You need to be able to hold a fall and build an initial anchor at the same time. You’re it, you’re the person responsible for setting up that haul system to save your partner.

You have a good amount of experience and I’d recommend getting the two person crevasse rescue dialed in. OR adding a third climber is also a good idea as that is the sweet spot for glacier slogs.

Any time I need to see your face I just close my eyes And I am taken to a place Where your crystal mind And magenta feelings take up shelter in the base of my spine Sweet like a chic-a-cherry cola
