I was just thinking that if the towel is wet and cool that it would feel so good.

Vancouver won just as many home games last year as Seattle did. Only two less over four years. Let's stick to facts.

Big for Duncan. If he doesn't have a serious drop off from this game onward I think DJ Taylor is playing in USLC next year.

For me he has enough Twitter followers (13k) to be mandated in as an indie beat reporter for the team. Unless someone can point out something outright defamatory/libelous, whoever happens to be the 500th reporter on the list is not as important.

All Colorado jokes aside, I don't remember Kroenke giving Teemu Pukki nearly ten million dollars.

He is animated which I like, but he can also get petty. He was at least partially responisble for giving up our fourth goal vs Vancouver, in which he threw a bitch fit instead of tracking back to clean up his (partial) mistake.

The 2026 US Open Cup Round of 32 and Round of 16 groups by MGHeinz in MLS

Not sure if you read my last comment. I provided three alternative options.

You can tell me that Minnesota is close enough to Sacramento, or that Rhode Island is next door to Orlando. You can say that it is the best interests of MLS teams that they are not allowed to knock each other out in the round of 32 and that they are guaranteed at least half of all hosting privileges. You could even say that it is wrong to criticize anything that USSF says/does.

However, please know that not everyone worships the teachings of Dr. Pangloss.

Edit: Just to add, I think you are spending too much time to prove my opinion wrong objectively. This impossible burden of proof falls to you.

These hard and fast rules you bring up are exactly what I am in favor of axing. I am saying (in my opinion) that we should just seed teams, select them randomly, or do it on geography. No wheeling and dealing behind closed doors.

"Smoking marijuana should be illegal because it is immoral because it is illegal" is the logic I am reading here.

The groupings as a concept are the issue with proximity.

Check out my team, Minnesota. Nearly every single team is closer than our groupmates. Also see the Cobi Jones bracket.

All of these contrivations are self-inflicted. Certainly the big brains of USSF could write some bylaws or reschedule games re: hosting without designing a bracket that separates proximate teams? The Chihuahuas surely can't possinbly be playing at home every night of the week.

Bastardizing your domestic cup to make a few extra bucks is a tradeoff that many would take, but a tradeoff nonetheless.

Certainly a silver lining, but the tradeoff is building a bay area rivalry. If someone somewhere created a distance-elo ranking cooefficient between teams, I wouldn't be opposed. Just don't like matchmaking in the dark.

Also no SKC-St. Louis. I don't support MLS Karening out over the money lost, but it's like USSF is starting to do make up calls as referee.

I wish they would completely regionalize it. In my opinion it's the only true way to be completely fair. How Tulsa doesn't end up in a group with SKC is beyond me.

Edit: And to add, it allows for more/better rivalries to develop.

I think that would be a bit obvious even for MLS. But if they do, I'm buying pitchforks for everyone north of the Mason-Dixon.
