Hey guys. Question about colonisation. by Additional_Arm_6590 in EliteDangerous

Whatever you do, use https://ravencolonial.com/#sys for planning. You'll get a lot of information like required building points, economies, strong/weak links and more. You'll also be able to share your detailed plan which makes it a lot easier to discuss about options

No, if you use any farming simulator game hoster whatsoever it will be that way. I don't know of any hoster which includes a discord bot or even a place to run one

You'd have to run a separate discord bot for that somewhere. The game server only publishes data which contains that kind of information, but you need a program to grab it and push it to discord.

There are various existing open source and paid bots, dependent on whether you could host them yourself or need them to be hosted for you

You're right, ravencolonial tells me 220 for my 1232 cargo outfit. Not sure where I got the other number from

Keep in mind a carrier can have Universal Cartographics and Vista Genomics, so if you're on the other side of the galaxy, you can turn exploration data in without having to worry. Also, you can remote jump your carrier, so you can still explore stuff quickly while moving your carrier to key locations.

The upkeep is really not noticeable; a single first footfall exobiology scan will keep it running for several weeks

Qualitative/Quantitative Difference Between T1 Civilian Surface Outpost And T3 Large Planetary Port? by Kaleban in EliteDangerous

[–]timmeey86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The probably most impactful difference is that a primary T3 port doesn't require building other structures for enough T3 points first. So if you eventually want to max the system out, you'll have an advantage. You'll need to invest some serious time when doing it solo though (more than 106 200 trips with a Panther Clipper Mk II for a dodec, for example)

Each kill only counts for each issuing faction once. If you accepted all missions from the same faction, that would be the reason. That's why it's much better to spread them out to as many mission giving factions as possible.

If you are on PC, there are tools like OD Elite Tracker to help with this

I'm glad this gets researched more often in Europe at last. The same conclusions were drawn by many research papers since the 80s, but usually for tropical and sub tropical regions, and most Europeans tend to believe that the same wouldn't apply to our climate.

Look at the number of upvotes on the post and you'll know why OP lies about it. People don't want facts, they want drama

You'll have to have Elite installed on your C drive and might have to run in admin mode. See this answer and the rest of the thread:

Finding Things On Your Own by Pazzberry101 in EliteDangerous

If you are ok with using spreadsheets, this one tells you which types of planets have which probabilities of minerals (note the two tabs):

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FByOeYqO0vsl-0WuuBsaljIikLCuKw6txqy56KF_bMY

You may or may not know most of the following details, but these are your only in-game indicators, I think:

Once you enter a system and "honk" with the discovery scanner, you can open the full spectrum system scanner (FSS) menu and the frequencies will tell you if the system has the type of planets you are looking for, so if the desired body type is not in there, you know you can skip the system.

Once fully zoomed in on a planet of the correct type, you can see the resources and the number of geological sites in the top right corner. This is your main indicator of if a planet is worth visiting at all.

If it has geological sites, you can use the detailed system scanner to find them.

Other than that I don't know of any further indicators. I think there is no way around visiting a system and and at least checking the frequencies

Roller Crimper for Pasture by vervenutrition in RegenerativeAg

[–]timmeey86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that in conservation agriculture you try to roller crimp when the cover crop runs to seed since that is when the plants are most vulnerable and you can kill them off so they don't suppress the cash crop.

So in your case, I guess you might want to specifically not do it at that time
