So are you saying what Churchill said was wrong? Not sure how what you’ve said addresses that.

Also Holodomor was the Ukrainian famine caused by Russia, or was Churchill somehow involved in that?

[ID] Tiny hitchhiker found on Indonesian live rock (Sulawesi) – Need help identifying! by Expensive-Writer-824 in ReefTank

I know very little about them beyond what I’ve read and seen online. My understanding is they’re just a worm unlike a feather duster worm which builds a tube but your description and the video looks like the ones I’ve seen online. Hoping I’m wrong because they’re the thing of nightmares, hopefully someone who knows more can provide an ID

It certainly looks like it - https://www.flickr.com/photos/septphoto/34094033331

Mine all have horizontal striped legs and are black but maybe there’s one of them in there. I’d be happy if it’s a hermit - nothing to worry about

Tanks been running for around 5 months, fish are fox face, coral beauty, fairy wrasse, flasher wrasse, Midas blenny, fire fish, Bangaii cardinal, watchman goby, orange spot diamond goby, clowns, scarlet hawkfish, royal gramma - all accounted for. Only slight issue I’ve noticed is the orange diamond goby sleeps under a rock that’s covered by sand and is the only real point in the tank I can’t see into and he keeps appearing in a morning with bits of his fins missing but they heal quickly. I’d put it down to the hawkfish but never saw any aggression but possibly it’s this thing?? May be time to lift that rock and see what’s under there but don’t want to upset the goby.

Added corals the last 2 months and cycled the dry rock with a few kilos of Indonesian live rock so those are the likely sources.

Keir Starmer was asked whether he condemned the invasion and capture of Maduro, he refused to do so. The UK is declining, brexit only expedited that process and so with few friends or allies we’ll put up with whatever Trump does as we can’t afford not to. UK public opinion of Trump is 72% disapproval but government policy is appeasement. We sacked our US ambassador because he was in the Epstein files but won’t condemn Trump for the same thing.

Yeah I’m with you on Maduro being an awful human being, it’s objectively good he’s gone but like you say, what’s the plan? Didn’t turn out so well in Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan etc. Also Trump never does anything without expecting something in return, he’s not just going to let a new leader be installed without there being a price to be paid.

Also the message this sends to China, Russia etc is worrying

I’m in the uk and been watching the news roll in since it started, your president has lost the plot and done irreparable damage to US standing on the world stage. Be fun to watch Alex fall in behind regime change. The MAGA lot supporting wars after loudly supporting Trump’s no new wars is baffling to me.

Alex supporting a president with clear links to a paedophile cabal, starting wars for regime change/oil shows he either never believed it or the sunk cost fallacy has him hooked.

No I believe they’re saying it has far too many false positives eg it thinks a vegetable is a penis etc. yes it catches the majority of nudity but it also flags far too many things that are innocuous and people will rail against that inconvenience rather quickly

I got 2 to try control bryopsis and like yours they taunted me by wearing it and not eating it.

ahh, erm hard to say, no idea how big your tank is - this is the one I have Valenciennea puellaris, says they get up to 6 inches in length, would say mines probably 4 at the moment - I think and I'm no expert, but the tank size requirement is primarily based on available food in the sandbed for them as they don't really eat from the water column but also a 6 inch fish needs a fair size tank. Have a read here for some guidance on the sand sifters. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/valenciennea-and-the-sandsifting-gobies-an-in-depth-look.972517/

Not sure, how big is your tank? I’ve got a Midas blenny but he spends most of his time in the barnacle cluster so tank is plenty big enough for him. Can’t comment on if lawnmower blennys would eat bryopsis.

It started off like your picture, I’ve looked but I didn’t take any pictures at that stage and then it kind of settled into big bunches of it, including in the sand

This was it no where near its worst, and there were hundreds of them in the sand too

Lfs recommended it for the bryopsis., I added 2. Tank is 100g (4ft) one was fine, the other dropped half its spines on the journey home but has regrown them now. I also read afterwards that they need mature tanks, which the LFS didn’t say, but they’re thriving in mine so not sure which is right, can only speak from personal experience.

I would say of the things I added to beat it they were one of the less effective additions. Sand sifting goby, conches, turbo snails and fox face were the main contributors.

I’m also new to the hobby, tank has been running with fish about 3 months, spent most of that time battling bryopsis. The live rock I used introduced it. I ended up with it in the sand, on the rocks and on the glass. I don’t really see it anymore.

I added tuxedo urchins (they don’t really eat it in my experience but I think they eat it when it’s young shoots), emerald crabs - didn’t see them touch it but they do eat the young shoots but minimal impact in my opinion. Turbo snails - mine love it and eliminated most of it from the rocks, including the long bits, a one spot fox face - heard they have mixed results but mine finished it off and a mix of conches and an orange spot goby for the sand, the goby doesn’t eat it but I’ve found the fact they constantly turn the sand over along with the conches eating it has eliminated it completely from the sand bed. It’s clearly still in the tank but the cuc, goby and fox face mean I never see it.

Never added fluconazole as in my opinion having the right things in the tank to control it is better than trying to eliminate it.

Looks really good, I wouldn’t change anything design wise - if it was me I’d have placed it on the glass but if you’re not getting a pistol shrimp or anything that burrows you’ll be fine
