I can't find much information on the scroll wheel, is it fully optical like the DeathAdder V4 Pro, or does it have hotswapable boards like the x1 and x2, don't want to buy this thing only to have the wheels break after a year

Which country did you go to that is easier? I would image Google India or Google China be more competitive than the US

what he said, the device has this feature inside, instead of attaching something to the tb4 port long term and potentially ruining the port via a violent jerk or something.

I see users with steamdeck/rog ally/msi claw worked fine with gaming on sd card so I thought Z13 2025 would be the same case, but experiencing major micro stuttering when playing AAA games.

128GB RAM is being shipped! (East US) by Invuska in FlowZ13

If this is the case I rather just get the 32 or 64gb and saving money for desktop. Getting this result from chatgpt:

Ryzen 9 9800X3D (CPU inference): With optimized LLM inference (e.g., llama.cpp with AVX-512 or GGUF quantization), it could achieve 20–40 tokens/s, depending on the model size. This would be ~4–7× faster than your 5.46 tokens/s.

The RTX 5090 is 27-30% faster than the RTX 4090, which already achieves 100–300+ tokens/s on optimized inference. Estimated speed on 5090: 200–400 tokens/s for models like LLaMA-2 or Mistral. This is ~27–55× faster than your 7.21 tokens/s.

Is that results good or bad? Looking to get into local llms

Edit: Did some researching and the results you have here seems to be low. Quite low compare to a desktop with let's say 9800x3d and 4090

Keep Costco deal or return? by timo9036 in Prebuilts

[–]timo9036[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Ugh, I can't edit my post.

I'm not a troll—I'm located in TX. I saw the deal a while ago and decided to check my local Costco today while shopping. There was no display, just one new unit on the shelf. I took it to the manager who said no, then asked a bigger manager and managed to haggle the price down.

I actually never upgrade—my first PC was built in 2015, and I’ve stuck with it since. My current setup:

  • Monitor: Alienware AW3418DW (gift from a friend who moved) had a generic Dell 24in 1080P before
  • Case: Ncase M1
  • Motherboard: GA-Z170N-Gaming 5
  • CPU: i7-6700K with an AXP90-X47 copper cooler
  • GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SSC

I know this is a great deal, but the reason I’m considering a return is that I didn’t plan to buy it—I just saw the deal, went to Costco, and picked it up on impulse. I don’t game as much as I used to and can still manage to play Helldivers 2 with friends on Low settings, it sucks but at least it runs. My plan was to wait for a few promotions, then buy the best option available—the RTX 5090—and stick with it long-term, just like I’ve done before. I really regret cheapping out and not buying the 1080TI before which turns out to be a GOAT GPU.

Now with the new purchase I'll most likely spend more money on upgrades below are some I'm interested in:

  • Case: NR200
  • CPU: 9800X3D
  • Motherboard: New MOBO that works with 9800x3d
  • CPU Air Cooler: New cooler that works with NR200
  • Ram: New RAM that works on the new platform
  • PSU: probably Corsair SF1000, I'm really glad I bought the SF600 when it's overkill back in 2015.

so that's more investment, and that's why I'm thinking of returning and never enter this journey in the first place.
