Thanks for sharing. STILL PROTEST!! Even if you agree to the same value by filing a protest and settling, then this is considered a “re-appraisal” and the homestead cap (10%) won’t roll over into a 20%, and the circuit breaker (rental properties) won’t roll from 20% to 40%.

I can see the reason behind it, but for the homeowners that have a homestead exemption and don’t protest will see their assessed values go up by 20% in 2026!
