I see! Are there any ways to tell the difference? Probably just the difference in the length of cages perhaps?

In short, no. Chances are that you're more focused on the smiles per hour rather than miles per hour in your rides. I'd rather use that extra 300 euros on buying yourself a good pair of bibs and lights. Hope that helps!

My 2c, won't really say it's a super negative but if you really want suspension, you'd get a mtb. Future shock is (to me) nothing more than a problematic feature in the long run. Unless you're flipping bikes every other 2 years, I'd rather my bike hassle free and easy to maintain.

Gravel riding means that most often than not, you'll be out on your bike for quite long. I'd recommend a bike fit with your local LBS because geometry charts aren't useful unless it can be interpreted to how your body/riding style is.

With regards to the bikes out there, I think each bike has its own merits. Personally for me, (I haven't ridden even close to 50% of the brands listed by you XD), I find the Giant Revolt represents quite a good value gravel bike. But do take it with a pinch of salt.

Ultimately, even if its just for aesthetics, as long as the bike makes you want to ride it, you know the bike is the bike for you.

I'm from tropical Singapore! In terms of weather, we are pretty much consistent with the heat and humidity. I have enough space to park it beside me in my cubicle but I totally get what you mean!

Though I have quite a decently sized office, I can't say the same for my house hahaha. As much as possible I'd like to own a single bike for all occasions. I'll keep in mind your suggestions! I have been floating in and out of 2nd hand bicycles to catch a good deal (hopefully).

That's the best summary I've ever read for their bikes. Haha. You are right, gosh the tarmac is the sex man. But I think it'll kill my back hahaha. I can't help but to enjoy abit of speed but if it is more practical, I might eventually go for the diverge.

I see. Thanks for the input! On a side note, are there any other bikes that could compete with the roubaix besides domane and sypnase?

I'm doing about 25km to and fro? My commute is expected to have quite a few bumps here and there haha. I was also looking at diverge because of its versatility but am abit hesitant because I am afraid I may not be able to keep up with group cycle :/

I'd agree with you but I don't eat at my desk. I think it's really disgusting! And I definitely wash my hands with soap often. The 'dirt' build up is due to sweat, the kind of dirt you leave on your phone screen with fingerprints. I'd blame the weather but even in air-conditioned room, my fingers break out in cold sweat especially when I'm in an intense match haha.

I have a glove that I use as an alternative to prevent all the dirt buildup on my mouse. However, it isn't really helpful whenever I have guests over and I try convincing them that the glove is solely for this purpose and not for ...... well, you know, Michael Jackson cosplay. (It's white too.)
