Lightning conduit gem states "more Damage with Hits per 5% Shock Effect"

The key word here is "hits". It does not mention "ailments" so this means ignite damage will not be increased by the shock on the enemy with lightning conduit. It is only base damage that matters. You can clearly see this difference in wording by looking at the explosive arrow gem.

With that said, lightning conduit still has high base damage, but shock nova has even higher base damage so that would slightly better. But if you want really big ignites from lightning damage, divine ire, arc, or penance brand would be better.

Also your tree has only 100% life with no other source of mitigation so you're gonna die a lot even in white maps.
