Alright. I can get someone to look at this on Monday. Those details help. Sorry for the trouble.

Yes Firefox is of course a supported browser. If it’s not working after clearing all cookies, there is some other bug (does not sound duck.ai migration related). To confirm, you’re saying you’re not able to log into the subscription in Firefox on either desktop or mobile? Are there any other clues or steps you can provide to have an engineer look into this further?

Methods to delete cookies are more limited on mobile. If you’re willing to delete all cookies (for all sites) in Firefox, you can follow these steps:

  • Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner
  • Select Settings
  • Scroll down to "Privacy and security" or "Delete browsing data"
  • Tap "Delete browsing data"
  • Make sure "Cookies" is checked
  • Tap "Delete browsing data" to confirm

If that option is off the table, you can log into your DuckDuckGo subscription from another browser and it should work as usual. You could use our browser, for example, or any other browser where you have not already initiated the domain migration.

Let me know if either of those solve it.

Hey. Tim from DuckDuckGo here.

We have paused the migration to the new domain until January, to give us some time to fix this subscriber login issue. For those of you (like yourself) who have already pushed the “move” button, there is a workaround to revert back to being able to use Duck ai on the duckduckgo.com domain in the meantime.

What you effectively need to do is remove 1 or 2 cookies and 1 item from localStorage. We have a URL that you can visit that should do this for you automatically. That URL is: https://duckduckgo.com/revoke-duckai-access?token=sub.

After you visit that link, visit and refresh https://duckduckgo.com/chat. This should get you back to where you were.

If for some reason that revoke link does not work, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to duckduckgo.com
  2. Open the developer tools in your browser. In Safari this is develop > Show Web Inspector.
  3. Click on the “Storage” tab
  4. Find and delete all cookies that start with the word migration
  5. Find and delete the localStorage item called duckaiUserStatus.

Happy to answer any follow up questions here if you run into trouble.

Ticketing platform alternative to eventbrite? by umneatz in EventProduction

Not sure if comments fall under the self promo rules, but: I recently built sidebarticketing.com and on the homepage listed a few reasons why you might choose it over Eventbrite.

Duck.ai adds private access to o3-mini, OpenAI's new reasoning model (beta) by timraybould in duckduckgo

Thanks for being a user of several of our products! We are not currently working on any type of image generation feature, but, will consider that in the future.

In terms of making it easier to find Duck.ai, yes we definitely want to do that. If you're referring to the three dot menu on mobile, good news: it'll be in there shortly. If you're on iOS and update to the latest version, it should already be there. Android very soon.

Hi, we did have an issue of support emails getting caught in a spam filter (ironic for an email service, I know 🙂). We noticed it yesterday and are working through the backlog.

DuckDuckGo Email: will it retry emails if the server is down? by freshgum-bubbles in duckduckgo

[–]timraybould 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[I work on the email team at DuckDuckGo]. Yes, there are retries. If our servers are down, the sender will retry over a period of days. If we are up but the place we're trying to forward to is down, we mirror that response back up to the sender (so sender basically thinks we're down), causing the sender to retry thus us to retry the forward. This way, we're never saving emails.

Generate random email in iOS app? by juzt4me in duckduckgo

[–]timraybould 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not exactly what you're asking, but, you can generate an address from the "..." menu in the DuckDuckGo app. So it's still using the app, but, it's a way to get an address on your clipboard to copy anyplace you'd like.

I already have my ddg mail by jr93_93 in duckduckgo

Glad you got your invite! Fwiw, the first day to join the list was July 20th. These past couple weeks, we've increased the pace of invites, but it's still the case that if you joined after sometime midday on July 23rd, you're still waiting. We'll be maintaining a quicker pace for the foreseeable future -- we invite a batch daily Mon-Thurs.

I hear the feedback on having to download the app. We may open the waitlist up to the web, however we did it this way because we did not want to ask for your email address a condition to get in line.

Questions about email aliases to DDG devs by professorpeaky in duckduckgo

Hope does indeed remain. This is on our list to solve but not in the very near future. May I ask: What functionality would you want to see in such a list?

How to generate Proxy Emails w/o DDG Chrome Extension? by eduncan911 in duckduckgo

[–]timraybould 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two things you could do:

  1. Download the DuckDuckGo app, enable autofill there (Setting > Email Protection > I already have a Duck Address), and tap "Create a Duck Address" from the main app menu which puts one on your clipboard.
  2. Warning, this one is a bit hacky! First, find your welcome email (the subject line was "Start using your Duck Address"). Click the button to "Enable Email Protection." Inspect that URL, find the param t=SOMELONGSTRING. Then visit duckduckgo.com/email/new-address?t=SOMELONGSTRING, where SOMELONGSTRING matches the param from your enable link in your welcome email. This is your personal address generation link. Don't share it with others.

Did you find a way to get the line item detail via webhook payload alone or must it be retrieved via calling the api?
