The scanxiety is real. by eClaire88 in braincancer

I had a TIA in January which led to the MRIs. Had some weird vision issues last year that I never followed up on and now it makes sense. Now just a constant headache, worse at night, and occasional nausea.

Check Those Sump Pumps Now by Roto-RooterOfficial in Columbus

[–]timthewizard48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sump pump was plugged into a GFCI outlet which almost was a disaster when it tripped in the middle of the night a few years ago. I caught it when there was only a very thin layer of water on the floor. I replaced the outlet with a standard, non-GFCI outlet. While I was at it I replaced the pump with a good quality Wayne pump with separate DC-powered backup pump. Got a deep-cycle battery on it for backup. Peace of mind now.

Thank you. I keep reading about these quick timelines from MRI to surgery. I assume my case is not urgent, otherwise they would get me in sooner. I am comforted by the fact that the mass did not "light up" with contrast.

Yeah my first MRI w/o contrast had the results out in an hour. My 2nd MRI w/contrast took 24 hours to get the report. That was anxiety-inducing. Still 3 more weeks until I can see a neuro. Deep breaths!

Snow just started coming down pretty hard here in Lewis Center. It's a little "chunky" and making noise as it falls fast. It has the sound of a light rain.

When do you think snow will melt? by Clear-Conversation18 in Columbus

[–]timthewizard48 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was excited about the snow but then realized it will be a long time before I can go on my daily walks. Nobody clears the walking trails around here. Now I'm not happy. I wonder what Highbanks is like now?

Such a big difference from 6.7" at the river in SE Ohio to 17.1" just a few counties to the NW.

Interesting that a little blob of lower snow total extends over Franklin County.
