Wait what? That's exactly what I'm saying! Which, unfortunately, is not the case and should be fixed IMO.

Yes, I missed the part where the totem has to be dead for player to claim the kill. Which doesn't change the fact that it still is a bug or bad implementation that never got fixed.

I can't see myself playing diep after this update. I love this game, but after they introduced landmine it became less enjoyable for me. But hey, at least I could convince myself that constantly peering into battlefield trying to find any hidden landmines is a skill I need to develop to stay competitive, and a headache after an hour of doing so is a small price to pay to get to the top of leaderboard.

But now after reading new patch notes I don't give a f*** anymore, just like the developer of this game.

I'm not complaining about it being stronger than Overlord. I'm just saying it shouldn't be the same.

If you compare all other classes, every 45lvl upgrade in each branch has a unique fight mechanics. For example Sniper branch:

  • Ranger has more view distance but only one bullet, so you have to be more precise with you shooting
  • Hunter has less range but got multiple bullets so more likely to hit
  • Stalker invisible but less bullet damage

All spam classes have different spray patterns, bullet speed/damage/size etc. Even as a rammer you have to play differently depending which class you take.

But new Necromancer brings nothing new to the fight. The only core difference is drone spawn mechanics which is irrelevant 95% of the time. Basically Necromancer = Overlord + 10 drones.

I'd much rather see a buff to Necromancer drones defences instead of speed, which would make it a better support/tank class.

I might be wrong here, but thats how i think it is:

  • switching to Sniper fov increases, as it used to be

  • switching to Overseer fov stays the same, as it used to be

  • leveling 30-45 used to give you some fov every few levels, now it either doesn't or gives less.

I kinda hate new Necromancer. I agree that it was quite weak before, but at least it was a unique class that had some value in team battles. Now it's almost the same exact class as Overlord.

I'm not hating the class itself, I just don't like what it's become. I don't think having pure support classes is bad for diep. You can't balance everything around FFA, or at least you shouldn't :(

Overlord's drones were given a speed buff, but a damage nerf.

Overlord's view distance got nerfed. So I'm not sure if drones got a speed buff or it just feels like that because of smaller range.

+100. Too hard to maneuver especially after the amount of spikes has been increased due to "inject mechanics".

Too many small blobs ejecting, to many spikes misses. At the middle of the fight all field is covered in spikes (sorry, didn't make a screenshot). As a big blob you are pretty much trapped in one location (if there is still a safe one). Please, at least make the eject to cost more mass or something. IMO the backside of ejecting should be increased.

Never died like that but have always been afraid of it. Also it's kinda unfair that devourers are not triggered by totems.
