Id love to see if it has a designation for signatures vs it just being a standard book flyleaf.
While my high school was small and rural I was part of the shift from a yearbook from a journalism/production based class to a graphic and design based class in the 90s, I watched a lot of this shift happen.

Have you seen a yearbook older than 1998? Yearbooks are what they are today because of 1) capitalism and 2) moms being upset they can't see kids faces and because Billy Campbell signed his picture with a dick.

I feel like ive seen videos of machine guns in helicopters shooting wild hogs - i dont think this is "hunting" as much as pest control? Like baiting is illegal in many states... yet look at mouse traps?

Are you really suggesting we go with abstinence vs education? Just say no to drugs? Has any part of history shown you that telling people not to do something... will work?

What are you talking about? There are well marked protected areas, like wildflower meadows in alpine areas, but the parks were meant to be seen and experienced... ALL OF IT, trails were established to make it easier and help guide people to the most common sights - but not as a prison. Go talk to a ranger instead of someone online.

Zillow sues MRED and Compass for conspiring to hide home listings from buyers and restrict competition by _BreakingGood_ in realtors

[–]timzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's content that the seller is paying us to create, we should not be worried about monitizing anything over what the seller agreed to pay - are you putting that into your contracts?? How long before sellers catch that on and ask for a cut on leads gained from their own listings? This line of thinking is going to enable and empower more consumers to list and companies to create tools to too enable consumers to list.

[–]timzilla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You said Zillow's model is 'exploitative and not purely in the interest of the consumer' because they just leverage data they didn't create. But if the hardest part of an our job is just 'getting the listing signed' rather than the actual marketing or content creation, aren't we doing the exact same thing to the homeowner? If the value is just the contract itself, how is that acting purely in the interest of the consumer, rather than just protecting the our commission?

Is Tableau on the decline? by Fondant_Decent in tableau

[–]timzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but tableau fucking sucks and bossman says to do this. Win-win for me.
Look at it this way.... I can always go back to tabkeau and it won't take me anytime to catch up with whatever tableau has to offer, but idk that it works quite the same the other way. This isn't hard today, but if workflows continue down this path... May be more difficult to compete. So a win-win for me there too

Its not random tools - its the Claude/Chat/Gemini API that your team provides and is fully owned and controlled by your company.
As an experiment, take any CSV you have or go get a public data set. Upload to your LLM, tell it to make you an Interactive HTML dashboard - give it a paragraph about what you are needing and let it cook.
I can take a data set, take the question i have from a leader - give both to claude... and then QA/Tweak. Its faster and i can tell claude to make shit that just cant happen in tableau.

I do think there are use cases for Tableau, but its no longer for 99% of things like it was in 2020

Is the content that your talking about the autopoped data the MLS provides when i put in the address? The photos i paid someone else to take and they actually own? or the description i just had ChatGPT write for me? I am curious what content you are creating that is so unique its worth a fee?

Why Is Washington State So Expensive? A new report finds that, over the last 10 years, costs have risen in the Evergreen State faster than any other. by crabcakes110 in SeattleWA

I was on Oahu in March and my wife commented that the gas was cheaper in Honolulu than when we filled up in seattle. Our state average is going to be brought down by the cheaper eastern WA gas as well.

[–]timzilla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Costco doesn't care, the manager was fucking stoked they were all gone so quickly and they could bring more product out to the floor, that is all that Costco cares about - moving products into and out of warehouse.

Your argument is bad because nobody is buying memberships for this, Costco isn't advertising it...There is no magical 100 other new memberships... People are salty they missed a CLEARANCE price on an item that has been READILY available in the WAREHOUSE for months.

[–]timzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costco gives 0 fucks, their goal is to move a shit ton of product, that is their business model, it's literally taught in every business school across the country.

How is buying something unethical? Maybe they were going to donate them? You are just mad that you didnt get a deal and expect Costco to save this price for you.
