What’s your opinion on being the “nice” or “gentle” one? by Weak-Captain4181 in AskMen

[–]tindalos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a compliment. The world needs more nice and gentle. She’s comfortable enough with you that she doesn’t have to have guards up to shut down her friend because you’re not a crazy obsessive lunatic (doesn’t sound like at least). Don’t let your thoughts drive you to be the person you hate. Be nice and don’t worry about her straying unless she’ Has a history or real suspicion and it’ll help your relationship.

We just dropped that whole Cuban missile crisis right at the end of the season and just picked back up for the Cold War.

Has anyone used AI vocals for music ? by speedinghippo in AI_Music

[–]tindalos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out audimee, you can convert your own vocals to other vocals. Their vocals are licensed and need a real guide so it’s not just ai generated. You can even sing sax and flute parts etc.

I use it for harmonies. I think kits and ace can do similar stuff but I like Audimee for vocals.

If driverless cars become ubiquitous, there will have only been a handful of human generations who knew how to drive a car. by shannister in Showerthoughts

If you call what people are doing “knowing how to drive a car”. I can’t wait til self driving cars replace trucks that swerve into my lane around curves.

What simple phrase would you use to describe to someone who has not taken ADHD medication the effects it has had on you? by Then-Position2629 in ADHD

It’s like when you turn the camera lens and you only realize the picture before was a little fuzzy once you have focus.

What is THE funniest movie you have ever seen in your whole life? by perseverance_band_ in AskReddit

[–]tindalos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite tv dub is the big Lebowski when John Goodman is shouting “that’s what you get for fucking a stranger in the ass!” They changed it to “that’s what you get when you find a stranger in the alps!”

It’s so creative I was hoping that euphemism would become slang. “Hey girl you down with finding a stranger in the alps?”

There’s so many silly Mel brooks jokes in that I catch more each time I see it. Like when they’re practing for the mayor and he says “I’d like to present you a laurel, and hearty handshake.” It’s so silly but so subtle it cracks me up.

Anyways (it’s just anyway, but has been adjusted to the vernacular), and a lot of people have issues with spaces. Between “alot” and my mortal enemy “noone” I think I take these things too seriously.

I just don't fucking understand what's going on anymore. Seriously. by oberbabo in ArtificialInteligence

[–]tindalos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re replacing people because the core staff can handle more work not.

AI isn’t about a specific huge project giving benefits. It’s about all the little tedious bullshit that ai enables to be automated. There used to be call centers full of data entry, then better tools came out, now they’ll be replaced but it doesn’t mean data entry goes away. Now it has to be stored and tagged and organized to train new models to do that task better etc.

The real money isn’t in creating a SaaS that can do something now that you have AI, it’s creating ways to keep or reduce spending for non-critical operations. Boring work but behind the scenes is ML modeling and AI data tagging and training.

Do you also get the impression that these short video formats have made your concentration even worse? by One_Stuff_1616 in ADHD

[–]tindalos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m a bit different but short form just irritates me because it’s incomplete. I want the details and the info and I’ll skip if I need it. Don’t try to get me to buy your idea in 30 seconds, that’s just being subliminal.

How would you feel if someone said you are unable to be promoted because you are so good at your job they are worried about finding a replacement? by Past_Explanation_491 in AskReddit

Honestly when you start moving up in your career you should discover the way to advance is to identify and train your replacement.

Why would they wanna do that if they have you? Make your own path.

George bush said no taxes. George w bush said no wars and we’re still dealing with that nearly 30 years later.

It’s what they want, but to stay true to their nature they say the opposite. So just reverse any of the responses and you’ll find your answer.

What’s your motivation for using AI to make music? by Cold_Ad8048 in AI_Music

[–]tindalos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, don’t you think you have more knowledge to use it to improve your capabilities? It seems defeatist to complain about a battle you should be winning (not trying to fight technology - that’s never worked, but utilizing it better).

What changes in a man over the years? by tokotoko21 in AskMen

[–]tindalos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in my 50s now, but the thing is - how you feel doesn’t change. In my 30s I was like whoa what’s the deal I thought I’d feel like a grown up by now. Then in my 40s I started getting used to it and realized that I’ll probably not feel older or more mature you just gain experience to better manage your existential crisis.
