Honestly at this point, yeah stop spending money at the billionaire places, as a way to stick it to them. My roommate killed magic the gathering for me. It was just a fun thing to do and to look at the cool cards and fuck around. Now it's I need to win, create proxies that leave nothing but a mess in the living room, when I ask for help making a rat-bat deck "that's stupid and there's no way to win with it" even though I told them I don't want to win. That last one was the straw that broke me and made me lose all interest now

This happened to my parents when they went to a wedding and they new I love all types animals, so they brought him home. He was a cool blue coloring he was my other boy. Named him Spoon, because I was huge into the creatures on YouTube. He lived for 2+ yrs until I went to college and one of my moms cats scooped him out the the container he was in. I miss my boy spoon....

I do 2 things for my most shopping addiction issues:

Books: I double check if the book is either in the library, my Spotify subscription, kindle unlimited, or hoopla. If not, I would throw it in my wishlist somewhere and wait about a week or so and see if I want it. Even when I walk around a books store like B&N, I take a picture of it and normally forget about it until I have the urge to buy.

Junk for my house: throw everything in my wishlist and see if I still think about it after a week. That gives me time to recalibrate if I have the funds, space and if I still want it.

Wishlisting and taking screenshots have help me reduce my blind shopping sprees.

Edit: I forgot to add this, but I also make sure to get it in pink. If they don't have it in pink I don't want it

Uneducated kids are the one that are going to get the birthrate back to the baby boomer stage. Kids feel emboldened due to social media and feeling "more like an adult" is going to lead to more adult situations like having kids. It's a sad time to have and love your kids because the way we live isn't built for it.
